    Midway Station?

Is the Midways Sataion going to be rebuilt or are all those gates going tbe left out there?

Nobody knows except TPTB, and Joe M has said it was removed because it made things too convenient, so probably not.

To remove the convenience factor, they can just leave the station out of the equation and have all travel made by Jumper. That will increase your security as well as making it more inconvenient to use.

You realize that, by now, the two gates that were apart of Midway are thousands of miles away from their original position, and are still moving - probably at a ridiculous speed. Thus they don't know their location. And if you tried to go from closest Pegasus/MW gates you'd have to travel over 200,000 light years.

I suppose if you could predict the direction and speed the gates moved away from midway at then you could find them with enough jumps. The only problem is the haystack they're looking in this time is millions of time larger.

                not really.

while they might be a million miles apart. the gates would be closer together than earth and mars. It took 30 years to breach the solar system. Those gates while far apart in any distance you understand, they are relatively close together.

Are you talking about the ones that were blown away in Midway?

I beleive he meant place two stargates, one pegasus gate and one MW gate, at about the same distance or so and not rebuild the midway station. That way a whole wraith army could not walk from one galaxy to the other

one would think that they were lost in the explosion...

Midway's toast; it made things too easy.

As for the other Stargates...well, it's simple: Cosmic Croquet.

Between the ZPM on Atlantis, the ZPM on Earth, the ZPM on the Odyssey and their inter-galactic hyperdrives I think they've got the storytelling 'convenience' factor covered, it's a bit late to do anything about that
