Absolutely adore them, even in spite of the sharp decline in quality as the series went on.
Tim Burton's remake was an abomination and I refuse to ever watch anything he does because of it."A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. Good people do things for other people. That's it, the end." -- Penelope Wilton in Ricky Gervais's After Life

Yeah after I saw this thread I realized how long it had been since I'd seen the TV show of POTA so I went straight to eBay and picked up both the live-action and cartoon ones. *laugh*"A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. I'm probably not the best person to ask about that, as I'm a die-hard fanboy of all things (non-remake) Planet of the Apes."A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. Good people do things for other people. That's it, the end." -- Penelope Wilton in Ricky Gervais's After Life

Of course there is. I have no idea what the "twist" is, but that's M. Night Shyamananalananan's 'thing'."A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. Good people do things for other people. That's it, the end." -- Penelope Wilton in Ricky Gervais's After Life
