    Wraith database

The Wraith gave us their database and had it delete itself afterwards.

However, in No Man's Land, we captured a hive and in Misbegotten we had some of our scientist investigate the ship and I saw them interface our equipment and used a Wraith data storage device.
why didn't atlantis download their datebase or did they and never used it.

I am sure we weren't able to cause they probably put in place codes and stuff.

It's like when enemies get ahold of the earth ships. There are always codes in place and it probably takes a very strong mental link to access the database, something that Teyla couldn't do.

That could be possible, that only a queen or high ranked commander could access it. And maybe Atlantis hadn't had any time to crack them.

Every Wraith ship likely doesn't have a complete Wraith Database stored in its computers.

Well Technically for the Wraith, Hives are the equivalent of Atlantis. They are their home. So a Hive should have at least a huge chunk of the whole Wraith knowledge.

We legged it from Lantia when the Replicators sent that beam satellite, also it was 10,000 years old, if they made any advancements during that time i think that would be more important.. and now we know how the wraith won the war anyway.. that stupid cloning facility.. gone now though

                  who's next?

Well the Wraith had them in Allies, a hive transmitted what McKay called everything.

As for the cruiser at the bottom, McKay probably send one of teams he was annoyed with to do research,

But each hive is independent, so their databases will vary. In Reunion Sheppard or Tyre said that teh wriaht would lose "any advantage gained over the other hives with the destruction of this facility.".

What I meant was that it contains a great part of Wraith general knwoledge.

With that database we would know the basics of their technology. But well if each hive has made development to outsmart the others, it may only give us temporary solutions. Unless we miraculously a weakness shared by all the Hives (probably when people get bored with the Wraith and they introduced a new enemy).

Like Crazy Tom already beat me to they're also all factionalized with each faction having it's own secrets and little side projects as we saw in broken ties.

Hives belonging to minor queens or factions that don't even have queens probably only contain the most basic of information. You're not going to find any plans for super duper Wraith death cannons in their computers, probably just an "owner's manual" if even that. If you want the really good stuff you're going to need to hijack a hive keeper's ship.

Things like Wraith history, the mating rituals of Pegasus tree squirrels, and current fashion trends on Athos also aren't really relevant to operating a hiveship so they're unlikely to be cluttering up the main computers either. These aren't Federation ships after all.

I just said that there is hope that we find the "Caution" part while looking into it. Something just like "Avoid going around the Nebulae 946 because it emits deathly radiation causing unspecified radiation to the ship organic part". Maybe we can even find the general flaw intel that the Aurora was supposed to transmit Atlantis....
