I just found out about this. Microsoft labs did a demo of a Sphere display.

lol i looked at that earlier on dvice.com it looks kinda cool, but i dont think its going to hit it off, too many people worried about privacy, plus can you imagine looking at stuff when some kid just keeps sending pictures to your side????

Looks as if the Goa'uld have taken over microsoft... it will never take off though. I liked its predecessor the table.

i thought the table was a cool idea, but the sphere.... don't like it as much... it would be cool for like all around the world weather, if it was like up to date...
