I can see that. One of my favorite Jack/Jonas moments was when he trained him on the P-90 when on the way to meet the human form replicators. That was very cool.

Maybe the 'seeing Charlie in Jonas' thing was why he never asked Jonas to go fishing. I'm sure he could have gotten permission toward the end of the season if he'd really wanted to.

I *so* agree with loving the "training" scene - I just wish it would have been longer. Not only because I love their relationship, but because it makes sense. You bring these non-military people into the SGC who have *no* knowledge whatsoever of weapons, and suddenly their firing P90's and berettas. This at least makes you feel their indoctrination into the organization is efficient and detailed.

The P-90 was a good scene, a nice reminder for Jack that he was dealing with someone who was fairly young and wasn't that experienced. Loved that Jonas was getting stroppy over having to practice over and over again, like a big kid.

I think it's because the line pretty much sums up how TPTB treated/thought of the character, and it's pretty disrespectful to CN. Looks even worse written down.
It's also the only mention of Jonas in S8 isn't it?
Not very nice if it is.
