During BASMR the wraith ran an Op to steal three ZPM's.
I can understand us being distracted and not getting any ourselves. We did only have two ships there. Those three ZPM's where used in a cloning facility. One in which Sheppard Rammed a Hive ship. The building is trashed, everyone in it killed. I can understand those three points.
The building was partially buried underground, and such an important would have been heavily fortified to resist orbital bombardment. Such that the structure would be able to take quite a bit of punishment. Any explosion would be focused upwards by the ground. While the building and ship are toast bits of technology would survive. large items aren't very likely to survive. ZPM's though are small. if all three where in the same room I would say there is a 30-40% chance at least one of them surviving in tact. If they where in three different area's to power the facility then the odds are much higher.
At the very least there is valuable computer data than could be retrieved. Notes on wraith ships, technology, or even flight logs of their vessels could have value. all one has to do is dig around a bit.
In many cases throughout Atlantis, and SG1 Once something blows up they think there is nothing valuable left in there. Very rarely does something blow up completely though. Pieces are always left behind. sometimes nothing but scrap metal, but every once in a while very valuable tech might be.
Places that the SGC and atlantis need to go back and search. Tollona, Wraith cloning facility, Anibus's strong hold, Taonas, The Tower(though they did strip it already), Shift through the debris at Asura(planet maybe gone but that doesn't mean everything was destroyed). heck the neutronium, and trinimum that the replicators had would be worth going back there by themselves.
When the Trade Center came down, vaults, strong boxes, and other pieces of reinforced steel survived. One should always sift through the debris looking for gems.
