Question about UNENDING

Does anyone know why TPTB decided the last episode of SG-1 be only an hour long episode instead of a 2-hour event? I mean, it is the last time we'll see SG-1 until the DVD movies, you'd think the last episode would be 2 hours long?

yeah the ark of truth was supposed to be the ending if i remember correctly

No need for a two hour episode. That's what the two hour movie is for. Originally the Ori arc had been planned to end in season 11 of the show.
