TORONTO, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - Explore the blurry line between science fiction and science fact with the Canadian television premiere of Proof Positive. This weekly, hour-long series, which challenges the paranormal and explores other unexplained mysteries, will air on SPACE every Wednesday at 10pm ET, beginning November 3rd.
Produced by the Sci-Fi Channel in the U.S. and hosted by Stargate SG-1's Amanda Tapping, this real-life CSI-meets-The X-Files series uses interviews and documentary footage to present paranormal case studies. Each episode explores three cases, such as encounters with ghosts and aliens, reincarnation and demonic possession; all of which contain convincing evidence that the story is true. Then, with the use of forensic testing, teams of scientists and field experts rigorously examine the evidence presented. Can they stand up to
scientific testing? At the end of the hour, one case will be declared "proof positive."
The first episode takes a look at strange creatures, invisible to the
naked eye, but caught on tape; a Michigan woman who claims her deceased husband is haunting her town's abandoned lighthouse; and an Indianapolis detective who believes that he is the reincarnation of a 19th-century American artist.
