Alternate Dimension and stargate travel

now we know that in the episode The Road Not Taken carter made AR earth disspaear into an alternate dimension.

ok now that we have that basis down. how would that affect stargate travel?

what do you mean? the fact that the earth was cloaked should affect stargate travel or the fact that it happened in an alternate reality?

Uhhh I'm guessing the stargate wouldn't engage? Because it wouldn't be able to find any other gates in the dimension?

Agreed. We know from "Window of Opportunity" that a stargate cannot connect to any gate not experiencing the same condition while in a separate region of subspace-time, so why would it be any different for another dimension?
