    Wraith Dart Question

Sorry if this has been asked before.

How much stuff can the Wraith Dart hold in its transporter. We've
seen them beam up whole groups of people. Just how much can
you load a dart with, and is it restricted to beaming living beings?
    Go home aliens, go home!!!!

We don't know. Never really been discussed within the show. In theory there could be a buffer.
    Disliked a recent episode?
Hate the current season Stargate Atlantis or SG1?
The writers killed off your favourite character?

Well suck it up Cupcake. It is only a Television Show.

Although you would assume since a large population of people was stored in there for preservation it would have a massive storage capability. (The Ark - Season 3)

Wraith darts take people along with their clothes and clothes aren't living beings.

Well that goes without saying Hehe.......

I doubt they'd even be aware as it would be like they're stuck in the
pattern buffer in Star Trek. Like what Scotty did to himself in Relics

It does tell us something about Wraith beaming technology, though. SGA also gives us more clues.

            Spoiler:

1: In 'Sateda' we see a Wraith hunter beam down. He's wearing clothes and goggles and is armed with a stunner pistol. We don't know if he beamed down directly from the hive or a dart but we do know that Wraith can beam down via darts.

2: In 'The Seige Part 1' we learn how Bob got into the city -

WEIR: So the pilot of the Wraith Dart scanned us, transmitted his information to the hive ships, beamed down here and destroyed his ship.

In 'The Seige Part 2" Wraith darts make kamikaze runs.

FORD: The Wraith piloting the kamikaze ships beamed into the city right before they hit.

CORRIDOR. Teyla and her team are in a firefight with several Wraith guards and one Wraith. More Wraith come around the corner behind the team and fire at them. Teyla and one of the men turn to return fire, but the man is taken down by a Wraith stunner beam.

Wraith beaming technology can transport equipment which is fully functional after it's materialised. Does this mean that non-living things can only be beamed if they're attached to a living being? We don't know.

Actually no. They adapted the wraith beaming tech. Rather then just copy pasting it. So they would obviously have installed a much larger harddrive, for want of a better word.

It didn't appear to me that those people had the technology to create such a storage device to go along with it.

Right, it's plausible that we can build our own interstellar spaceship in just a few years of exposure to the Goa'uld with no outside help, but when a slightly less advanced civilization with an entire galaxy at it's disposal and intermittent wraith contact spanning several millenia can modify something they couldn't build suddenly it's implausible to you.

                  Makes perfect sense.

Of course it makes perfect sense, afterall humans from Earth are special. They posses more brainpower, ingenuity, willpower, curiosity, wit, courage, etc.. than all other humans that are found. It is due to these unique combination of qualities humans from Earth can develop from pre-space-faring to galactic-power within a few years.

Other humans however, lacking Earth's power, will never be capable of achieving something, even if they are thousands of years ahead of Earth humans, without the help of humans from Earth because they always have a fatal personality flaw that will destroy them.

Using these simple statements one can deduce that those aliens, despite millenia worth of knowledge and possesing repositories for the unculled, cannot and will never be able to reverse engineer a Wraith device - McKay, Carter and Zelenka can do such things within milliseconds because they are from Earth - and create a datastorage large enough to store extremely compressed bio-patterns from people (Again McKay, Carter and Zelenka can do those things within nanoseconds because they are from Earth).

You forgot the diluted genetics of The Hair (c) (TM) (r), which are present throughout all earth humans (And are particularly strong in Major Sheppard) as a natural consequence of it's powers.

As I stated humans from Earth are special, probably because of The Hair (r)(tm)(c) which in turn is a consequence of The Gene (r)(tm)(c). It fits the theory perfectly: Due to The Gene (r)(tm)(c) the humans from Earth were capable of becomming the dominant galactic force, they are afterall the next evolution of the Ancients.

Therefore, I conclude my statement holds true and thus we can conclude that the adapted beaming tech. was granted to that brand of humans by an Ascended failing to comply to the rules since that's the only explaination that makes any sense. The sillyness of humans not from Earth reverse engineering and utilizing alien technology is just incomprehensible.
