Kull Warrior Armor on a Ship?

Since the armor on Kull warrior disperes the energy could you surround a ship in it and the energy base weapons just disperse?

The only weapons you would have to worry about is a nuke with all that kintic energy.

The Kull armour could be useful on the F-302's

but we dont know how to make it, and im guessing its hard to mass produce on a ship scale. It would be best to use it on a 304 before a 302, but it would be boring in a space battle when you are impervious to enemy weapons.

Would it be powerful enough to disperse a concentrated beam weapon?

probably, a sustained beam i dunno.

Yeah but a ship borne beam weapon is a lot more powerful than even a thousand staff blasts.

0_0 Nukes release nothing *but* energy. They are a giant energy warhead. If you detonate them in an atmosphere the air absorbs that energy and starts to move really fast, creating a blastwave and a huge secondary shockwave. In space that doesn't happen. Because of this, nukes are almost useless in space in real life, with the exception of their EMP, unless you are REALLY close to them.

EDIT: also, unlike a beam or pulse energy weapon, a nuke releases its yield (almost) equally in every direction. Therefore if you have a 20 kiloton warhead, it will be far less effective than a energy, particle, or projectile weapon that you dump an equal amount of energy into (8.368*10^13 joules). This is because a beam, pulse, or projectile weapon carries all its energy to the target (and a small area of the target), while a nuke just disperses most of its yield into space.

porportionally to the chest plate armor to the staff blast, a ship is much larger to the hatak fire (probably it would be succesful against wraith too)

Yeah this was my thought too.

if this was the case anubis would of put it on his ships with his shield and weapon tech

well if earth did know how to make it then instead of covering the whole 304, they should put it in key areas of the ships like where power conduits are located and the top of the earth ships like if promtheus had the kull tech then there would of been a chance it would of got away, but damaged alot..

Well the Jaffa did capture Anubis's lava planet where the Kull warriors were manufactured. So all the research and instructions should be there as well. It shouldn't be difficult to learn to replicate the technology.

Must be a limit to how much it can absorb. Thus a concentrated beam from a say a ship (Ori) would vaporize a warrior.

But having that armor on a ship, would make it pretty much invincible.

If they scaled it up & put enough on a ship, then it may work. However they'd obviously find a way to have the Wraith, Ori or Asuran ships cut through it with ease.

The armour should really have been further explored upon in S8. We see teams going off-world & getting the crap shot out of them. Yet all they'd need to do was chuck on one of them, then they'd be impervious to pretty much all enemy weapons fire. Plus the Wraith wouldn't be able to feed upon them either.

I'd love to see McKay or Zelenka have it on wandering though a Hive. All the Wraith blasting away at them & the blasts having no effect. Giving them the upper hand in Wraith combat. Then have them try it on the Asurans & see them put their hand right through the suit & into one of the other team members.

If they were going for realism, then the Kull armour would have probably been a pre-requisite for as many teams as they could kit out. However thisd is SG...meaning they always do things the hard way!

That would be cool to see but i dodudt the Kull warrior armour will be back anytime soon. The last time we saw them they were in somones mind!

I recon you could out the armour on a ship! But it may be costly! Maybe if you only put it in critical areas like the front and around life support and weapons!

not too burst your bubble but nukes don't have emp's in space only in an atmosphere
