Wraith or Asgard Beaming tech ,use as a prison facility

Wraith or Asgard Beaming tech ,use as a prison or cargo facility

S3 Misbegotten ,when SGA put the Wraiths (retrovirus transformed ) onto a planet ,i was surprise why they didn't use the Wraith dart 's beaming tech as a holding facilities. We saw they carry/dematerialized a much as a dozen Wraith in a single beam .

In S3 episode the "Ark" a less advance civilization already sucessfully reverse the Wraith beam and turn into a storage facilities, holding thousands human for thousands yr.

In S10 "Unending" Sam had consider loading SG1 into the Asgard beaming tech's buffer and then automaticly teleport out of the ship.

So the Asgard beaming must also be able to hold an object or person in a matter stream for a while.

Imagine the next time when SGA capture a prisoner then just dematerialize him , it prevent prisoner escape, save space and food,The Daedulas can transport large object and save cargo space

We already save the food..I mean us(humans), we will never feed the Wraith.

You wouldn't use it as a prison, that would be like getting sentenced to fifty years for murder or something, going to sleep and then waking up free. Where is the punishment?

For cargo or long term preservation yeah sure, but definitely not as a prison.

And then if you were to take someone prisoner and just dematerialise them, how can you expect to get any information from the prisoner? that's just an inconvenience.

        Because you can rematerialize them

Well prison isn't much used as a sentence since the SG teams usually have POW's, storing them like this prevents them from escaping.

In Unending, where would they beam too? And that would lose the Asgard legacy..

That brings up the age-old question: What is imprisonment for? Punishing the offender, or simply keeping them away from society?

Most societies actually imprison people for a third reason, to reschool the offender into stop doing whatever he did that was deemed wrong by societies standards, the fact that the offender is kept away from society is a bonus from that way of doing it, as is the fact that people are less likely to do something that goes against societies standards because they dont want to get imprisoned.

There are some countries that have lost track of this and just imprison people for as long as possible so they dont have to deal with them but this causes overcrowded prisons and wastes tons and tons of money.

it will only feel like a second that they were gone, so they wont feel pain or fustrated being in prison

You could use the beaming tech as a painless dead sentance
Beam them in to the buffer and then wipe the buffer
The guy is dead and not the mess of cleaning up the body

well you could use it as temporaly prison like a transport. by doing so the prisoner would not be able to escape.

Wow, that's actually a pretty good idea. A humane (FINALLY) death sentence.

Well if they are getting the death sentence you can assume that whatever they have done is bad enough to warrant lots and LOTS of pain...

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Kill them, but don't be barbaric about it.

Okay, so just hypothetically some jackass kills a whole bunch of people, is this person still even human? Do they really deserve mercy? shoot them.
