SciFi Weapons
Stargate SG-1's "Dakara Super Weapon" placed #2 on the list of Top Ten SciFi Weapons:
Dakara Super-Weapon
Film/Series: Stargate SG-1
Creators: Jonathan Glassner, Brad Wright
Cast: Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping
Built by the creators of the Stargate network, the Ancients, the Dakara Superweapon’s prefix just doesn’t convey the awesome, and terrible power of this weapon. The Dakara Superweapon was originally used to create the ideal circumstances for life in the galaxy. But the Ancients giveth and they taketh away, for it could also be used to break all life in a galaxy down to a basic molecular level. This disruption wave can even traverse wormholes and spread into other dimensions. Makes an A-bomb sound like a fire cracker.

Other media that placed on the top ten list: "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Men in Black," "Star Wars [twice]," "Dr. Who," "Independence Day," "Star Trek," "Judge Dredd," and "Ghostbusters."
