SG-1 Delivers more P18-49 and P25-54 than ABC

NEW YORK – June 26, 2007 – America's longest running sci-fi television series ended with a bang, delivering more viewers in key demos than even its broadcast competition. This is the best performance on all measures for SG-1 since the September 22, 2006 mid-season finale.

The show drove SCI FI to the number 1 spot in the 8pm hour for both P18-49s and P25-54 cable viewers, and delivered more P18-49s and P25-54s in the hour than ABC.

Among M25-54 and M18-49 in the 8pm hour, SCI FI outdelivered all cable competitors, and surpassed Fox, CBS and ABC.

This is the best performance in HH ratings and P2+ for Atlantis since the September 22, 2006 midseason finale, and the best performance in P18-49s and P25-54s since the April 13, 2007 midseason premiere.
In the 9pm hour, SCI FI ranked number 2 in cable for P25-54s, trailing only TBS.
Atlantis ranked number 5 in cable for the day for P25-54 viewers.

At 10pm, Painkiller Jane delivered a 1.0 HH rating, 668,000 P18-49s and 751,000 P25-54s – the best performances for the program in each demo since its April 13, 2007 series debut.

I believe that they were just comparing the ratings for THIS season, and not for the series overall ratings over the seasons.

Sci Fi, tenth in prime for the week, saw strong numbers for the June 22 finale of its Stargate SG-1 series. Of the 8 p.m. episode's average 2.25 million total viewers, 1.1 million of them were adults 18-49, which beat all other cable networks in the demo that hour.

You have to remember the entire network has been down. BSG's season finale only got a 1.2! ECW (network leader) has been falling below a 1.5! This is great news and i think hope for a 5th season of Atlantis just went up. Remember the long hiatus, and people were illegally downloading the shows!

BTW, those ratings might be adjusted to a 1.8 and a 1.6!

That is correct actually! Moebius got a 2.4 Rating. That is 1,340,000 per Rating point. So when you do the math...

                    It equals 3,216,000 viewers!

It does give me hope. If overall, ratings are dropping, what is Sci-Fi going to do? Cancel all their programs? I'd hope not. Besides, what kind of ratings does Attack of the Zombie Cats get anyway?

                      And nice ratings!

Oh it does give hope. Now with the Season finale ratings, SGA should have like a 1.4 season average. Now the leader of the network is averaging a 1.5 now. Hmmmm. Common sense. Cost of production for SGA is not like SG-1 was.

if SGA was getting like a 0.8 or like 0.9 like PKJ then be worried! LOL

I would have been very shocked if they weren't good for "Unending". It is still nice to officially know now that it did well. At least it went out well. Good for SG-1.

Okay, let's just put thigns in perspective... yes, the entire network is down - by lots and lots. And yes, comparing to the other ratings SG1/A got this year - especially for the second half, it's a good result. I never claimed it wasn't.
But "triumph" is pushing it, IMO. Trumph was the 3.0 ratings SGA's Rising got. Triumph was the 2.4 ratings Moebius and New Order got. Yes, the fact series/season/mid season finales on Stargate still get higher than average ratings is great, but as the entire average gone down, the numbers themselves aren't that fantastic. Merely good. Very good, when put in context.
