    SG1 - SciFi Wire: Saturn Awards Announced

    (NOTE: Stargate SG-1 was nominated for its TENTH Saturn Award for Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series, however, Battlestar Galactica won this year. Stargate SG-1 won in 2000, 2004 and 2005.)

    Superman Sweeps Saturns

    Superman Returns led the Saturn Awards on May 10, taking home five awards, including best fantasy film and best director (Bryan Singer). On the TV side, NBC's hit superhero drama Heroes won three awards, including best network television series. Children of Men received the award for best science fiction film.

    The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films presented the 33rd Annual Saturn Awards in a ceremony in Universal City, Calif., hosted by Heroes star Greg Grunberg and Jeffrey Ross.

        Yea, Masi seems like a real good person he has been on Leno and on Conan a couple times, hes very funny. I agree they do deserve the wins.

          They definitely do. They seem like really good people, and are excellent in their roles on Heroes.

            No, unfortunately this year the only Saturn Award either SG1 or SGA was nominated for was the Best Syndicated/Cable series.
