    Top 3 TV Franchises

What are your top 3 favorite TV Franchises? (Action, SciFi, and Fantasy)

    Here are the conditions:
At least 2 Television shows set in the same "Universe."
    At least 100 episodes cumulativley.
Must share continuity, and must have crossed-over at least twice.

    Mine:
    1. Buffyverse ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer" & "Angel") - 250+ episodes, my 2 favorite shows.

    2. DCAU ("Batman the Animated Series," "The New Adventures of Batman," "Superman the Animated Series," "Batman Beyond," "Static Shock," "Zeta Project," "Justice League," "Justice League Unlimited") - Near seamless continuity, 5 of those shows were amazingly written.

    3. Stargate-verse ("Stargate: SG-1," "Stargate: Atlantis") - Best SciFi franchise ever, IMO.

    1) Star Trek .... the King, in a class by itself as an entertainment franchise.
    2) Stargate .... a very close second to Star Trek.
    3) Buffyverse .... good call on that one Ripple in Space.

Honarable mention goes to the Law & Order franchise.

It was a bit hard to come up with a franchise that meets the criteria. I can't think of any other than the three in my list.

            1. Star Trek
            2. Stargate
            3. Buffyverse

In that order. Aye that's about right, as a franchise anyway. If it were individual series then the top three would look very different indeed.

                            The way things are:

                            2) Stargate
                            3) Star Trek

                              1- Star Trek
                              2- CSI
                              3- Law & Order
Science Fiction is an existential metaphor; it allows us to tell stories about the human condition.

Isaac Asimov once said individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.
