so... finished my sig.... it's very simple, but i just had to do something with that new freakin gigantic head shot that was posted the other day... and i've always been a sucker for eyes :p 431x150

i did :D i need to pay more attention to menu options.... i didn't even know you could do gradient layers.... and now that this skill has been added to my repetoire, hopefully i'll have some nice, tasty manips soon [( well once i get to capping :p )]

Photoshop has some really amazing things you can do. I've found lots of very good general tips here: http://community.livejournal.com/icon_tutorial/. Selective Color is AMAZING! :)

Nice work. I knew as soon as I found that sight with those huge pictures, it would give us all kinds of stuff to play with. Once I have time, I'm gonna go to town on them. And Jensen is just so easy to play with :P

i wanna day off anyone wanna do my shift @ work tomarrow.. oh wait... most of ya arent around here.. *sigh* damn oh well two more days of morn shift then i get a day off.. and no way in hell am i showing up on wed for a bloody meeting.. its my day off.. i show up i'll hit OT.. oh wait OT is good.. im close but at the same time its supposed to be cold out and uhm.. a certain 4 letter word is supposed to be happenin as well... startin later on today.. WE DONT NEED SKY DANDER

lol... i just hafta finish my shift today, and work tomorrow and tuesday, and then i'm off on holiday with my parents for the rest of the week ^-^ last year we spent turkey day in puerto rico, and this year we'll be in texas..... wonder where we'll end up next year :rolleyes:

I'm uploading the caps from 6x09 right now. I have to warn you, I went a little crazy :P But Dean pulled so many funny faces, I just couldn't bring myself to delete some...

@Lilith: As long as the caps are under the cut they shouldn't load, so I have no idea why they slow down your page. Sorry in advance! :o

meh... it might have something to do with my default setting being 100 posts per page.... text only or image light threads load in no time... thunk threads take an age and day once a page hits about 50 posts.... but idk if it's a quirk with firefox or with my internet service, but even if images are under spoiler tags, it's still d/l in the page cache... the bright side is once the page it fully loaded, i don't hafta wait extra for images to load after i open spoiler space :D

Awesome stuff, Jen! And we don't mind you going overboard at all, no we don't. :D

Some nice doublemint twin moments in there. It's comforting to know the boys still have that. And it's only when I went through these caps that I noticed how often Dean smiled in this episode. Which is really adorable, and we hardly ever get to see it.

@ Lilith - it differs for me. Yesterday the caps pages took ages to load, this morning they opened in a jiffy. But of course I only have 20 posts per page...

Come on, guys, you really didn't recognize the shot? S1 Salvation, right after Dean shot Meg's 'brother' who was beating Sam to a pulp. It was that cool sequence where the focus went from the Colt to Dean's face.

Thanks for the photo info, Stars. I knew it was a gun that wasn't in focus, but Dean's held so many guns, and I couldn't quite tell it was a revolver rather than a semiauto.

It's my day off too! And I too watched SPN on TNT...though I kept dozing off near the end of Metamorphosis and the beginning of Monster Movie. I missed the giant pretzel scene.:(

Well, I didn't get a day off class, but I did get back about half way through 'Monster Movie'. But I got so excited when I realize that the full episode I get to watch tomorrow morning is Yellow Fever. Eye of the Tiger! Oh, that means Jensen leg-guitar. My favorite :D

*sighs* i would have been able to watch it cuz i was supposed to be off, well that was til. i got a txt form Greg, he's an aide as was supposed to be wking tomarrow... BUT...i get stuck havin to work instead cuz the other aide, who is also a cook, has to do some office work.. yes he's a good all around.. but oh well its xtra money... mmm can we say.. hello two 40 hr weeks in a row.. wow not had that before.. that and 80+ hrs as well.. had OT last week. well it is the holidays as well.. Ohhhh next check shall be very lovely w/ the OT and it fallin so damn close to our employee xmas party... Ohhh that means bonus time... @ least i hope so

He is drop dead gorgeous in that jacket :) I can't imagine the paparazzi and how annoying they must be. And he's not exactly #1 on their radar. I know I'd be pretty annoyed if someone were walking in front of me, taking pictures with flash, while I was trying to get somewhere (knowing airports, probably late and in a hurry).

:D I really want to know just how many votes SPN got. I know the EIC said we were separated by about 20,000 votes from Chuck in the end, but knowing that the other 4 shows fell off pretty fast, SPN had to have racked up at least half the votes.

And as much as I love our show, I really hope they wait a few months before they want me to put that much energy into something. I don't do well on 4 hours of sleep.

And I gotta say I agree. So anybody who has the gift, go and try your hand at this! The first time I saw this guy was the movie My Bloody Valentine 3D, and I thought he was embarrassingly bad. I avoided Supernatural for a long time for this reason. But then I actually saw an ep and thought he was really good.

I guess it's a USA - not!USA thing but I don't understand why you are wishing happy holidays, when it's Christmas.
For me holidays is the timespan in Summer between terms.

But I definitely like the first sig.

The other ones look a little bit like "before and after" which doesn't fit to the Christmas-theme. But they are still far better than everything I am able to make :)

It's the result of all that 'political correctness' rampant in the US. Since there are a lot of religions that don't celebrate Christmas, this is the generally accepted greeting for the end of the year. I must admit, I'm using it as well, since parts of our family are Jewish.

Not just "a" necklace, but two necklaces. A (dogtag style) chain and a black cord like the one the amulet hangs on.

Doesn't look funny to me. It's most evident on the left side as it's sort of on it's own there but I can see it running along the length of the chain on the right side which makes it looks normal to me. Of course, they could be Jensen's neckaces. I have seen him wearing a chain like that one before.;)


- I SO hope that means he's gonna get his necklace back. I miss it.
I keep hoping that Sam plucked it from the garbage can that Dean tossed into at the end of Dark Side of the Moon and is keeping it safe unbeknownst to Dean.

Should have known somebody found it already. Wanted to post that new promo pic. BTW, did you notice Dean's wearing a necklace!?!?! It looks kinda funny, as if it was penciled in later - I SO hope that means he's gonna get his necklace back. I miss it.

I really hope they'll bring back the amulet, but it's actually a different necklace. I know a bunch of people thought it was the amulet a few weeks ago, but if you watch that thank you video for the TV Guide cover, you can try to stop it while at the photoshoot with Jensen. It looks like it has 2 little charm things on it. I'll see if I can find a better picture of it.

EDIT: Here's a close up of that earlier promo of Dean with the jacket. But I think they should get Jensen a set of dogtags. Too bad they don't have John's anymore.

Yeah, once I looked at the bigger picture (literally, no pun intended!) I could see that there were two necklaces. I think it was the bit where they run side by side that made me think it looked a bit strange.

Same! I'm still hoping but as of this season (spoilerd just in case people haven't been watching this season, I guess)
and Sam losing his soul, I doubt very much that even if he picked it up out of the trash he would still be holding onto it. :(

I'm the other way round, Dark Angel is what made me watch Supernatural when it started. Lost count of how many times I've rewatched Season 2 of DA lol.

I wasn't sure how good it was going to be at first, but it turn out to be pretty decent. After watching the finale, I was kinda upset they didn't continue it or make a movie like they did with SG1 and Farscape. And that was 10 years after the fact.

Jensen actually played 2 characters, and he did a really good job separating out the different personalities.

I wish they made a DA movie too. Absolutely love the last episode, Freak Nation. The title is just...I love it. I feel so bad for the transgenics.

Well, he shows up as Ben at somepoint in the first season (Forget the ep).

And yes, you must watch over Christmas Break. That's how I'm spending mine- rewatching all the shows I'm going through withdrawl for :)

How's this for timing- one of the songs Christian sang (i think the second), "The House Rules", I heard that on the radio a couple days ago.

Looks like that would be a fun show to see- just some friends rockin' out in a bar. Kinda like good karaoke :) The credit at the end said Steve Carlson was there. Was that him sharing a mic with Jensen?

Hey, now what a coincidence. I didn't know that there was a Luckenbach in Texas, but there is for sure a Luckenbach in Germany because it is two villages away from the Village where my parents live (and where I am now).

I know I wasn't around that much in the last couple of weeks, but I had a lot to do for work and am pretty stressed out, and then life was very mean to some people I care about. I had a lot of thinking to to in the last two weeks.


Nevertheless, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas, or Happy Holidays (whatever you like more) and a great start into 2011. I'll be in the Netherlands for a week, starting Monday and I won't have any internet access there =).

I got the Impala keychain, a Dean Winchester t-shirt (from Dean!) and Dark Angel S2 for xmas!:D ...among some other cool non-SPN related stuff.;)

The keychain is metal...pweter I think. And heavy, but I love it!

Last a year one of my friends got me a spn tshirt and mrs dean winchester mug which was pretty awesome. Alas no such luck this year.

Looks like the bad weather this year pretty much affected everyone. Bless. I fell asleep on the marble floor of an airport once. Not the most comfortable place to sleep I have to say.

If I remember right, that was in LAX in Los Angeles. I was part of a big group of about 46 people and we had a 4 hours layover there. We all crashed in basically a pile and fell asleep on the floor next to a giant window. I definitely know how easy it would be to fall asleep in an airport. I'm sure he does it all the time with as much flying as he does. And he definitely looks cute doing it :)

that's b/c you did it wrong :p i sleep on my marble kitchen floors when i'm having back problems.... or rather i lay there for a few hours.... marble is terribly cold to sleep on....

lol... i have a reputation of being able to sleep anywhere... which is not strictly true, but i can sleep most places, including standing up in the shower without any kind of support :p atleast i'm not like my mother who can sleep on command.... oh and RiG, your new icon? totally of the Win :D

I am not able to sleep anywhere that's not my bed...I've tried. The only place I can really sleep is in my bed. And I have to be on my left side...unless my cat, Emily, is with me. When she's with me, usually on my right side, somewhere near my hip, I can sleep on my back. If I turn try to turn over onto my side she'll move and jump down off my bed. So, I lay there on my back with my right hand resting on her back/side/whatever and eventually I fall asleep. Can't do it (fall asleep on my back) if she isn't there. I think her purring/breathing/snoring lulls me to sleep. OR maybe it's just the feeling of her fur/body under my hand? The vibrations from her purring? From her breathing?

Of course, I could always sleep next to him...
