And what a GREAT SHOT! Gun p0rn! And the lighting is just fab. *sigh* I really needed a pick-me-up. Can you believe it, iTunes turned down my order for the S5 pass on the grounds that I'm not physically in the US right now!! Can you believe it? This regional protection is just going too far. I just fought with one of their customer support ladies for half an hour, but there's no way. I'd have to wait until December when I'm in the States to get the eps!!!! Well, too bad for them, that's $60 they won't see from me, I'll have to look for *cough* not-so-legal ways now.

That´s a bummer :( *huggles*
This "rule" is really stupid... same with YouTube with some of their vids (and others) not allowing anyone outside the US to view anything :rolleyes:

I'm checking my own threads, so I haven't noticed this problem yet.

I was ROFL when I saw what they considered 'Oktoberfest'. But the traditional clothes were quite authentic. I only wish they had shown a bit more of Dean's legs and bum in those Lederhosen...

If you don't like crowds it's the wrong place for you to be, of course. But it's one of the greatest parties I know. You must imagine a tent with maybe 6000 people, all of the standing on their seats, singing and dancing... Of course some people there will drink more than is good for them, but most are just in a great mood.

Oh, that's awesome! Somebody from this thread - please excuse me for forgetting who it was, I'm terrible with names! - had posted all the Jensen scenes on YT. Only took a few hours, and they had been removed. :S At least I got to see them before they disappeared again. It's a really cute movie - and Jensen proves once more the German proverb 'Einen schönen Menschen entstellt nichts'. ('Nothing can make a beautiful person look ugly.')

Evening Pit :) Here for a flying visit, things to do elsewhere tonight!

I'm fine! I'm watch the episode, "Bugs". Its quite a gross episode!! lol. I love the fact that Dean and Sam get mistaken for a gay couple twice AND strange how Dean lets Sam drive the Impala. I also love how Sam hits Dean in the stomach when driving into the garage of the empty house that they are squating in for the night!! lol
LOL, that ep always makes me laugh, and it gives me the creeps.... anything with more than 4 legs is just wrong!! :p

I am quite meh. TMI for too many things happening in the background of my job.

They played "last christmas" fro Wham this morning at my radio station, because of all the Christmas stuff you can buy already in the groceries.

And I am tired. Should go to bed more early. HMPH.

But else: pics made of beauty cheer me up. And I showed THE scene from the highschool special to two colleagues who teach sports. They liked it :D

I like spooky/suspense/thriller/horror ... Spn has it's 'ewww' moments and creepy music and things jumping out, but it's pretty tame compared to some stuff I've watched. I'm impressed at you ladies for sticking with it when you don't like spooky as a rule!! :D

Same here, I hope to see her again. Don't know why they didn't have her back before, I mean she's in the loop about the boys' background. Maybe there'll be some more revelations in S5.

I was the same...my friend kept going on and on and on (and on some more lol) about how gorgeous Jensen is, how great Spn is etc etc. She kept showing me pics and he came across as too pretty boy for me, and at the time I thought Spn would be too 'teeny' for me... but I was wrong, and she'll never let me forget it!! :rolleyes: :lol:

We have people at all different levels of the show... most of us have seen all aired eps, some people are still new and on S2... by the sound of it you'll be caught up in no time! :D do you have a favourite ep so far?

Its funny that so many people (me included) have a history like this with SPN :D

I think that's why their fan base is growing so steadily. For many people I know (including myself :D) it's not the kind of show you expect to really fall for - but once you start you do. Hard. I think I was hooked about 20 minutes into the first ep I ever watched. Which, incidentally, was Folsom Prison Blues.

The trip was okay, I had an empty seat next to me so I could half curl up and doze. :) The settling in is going slowly since I wont be getting my stuff till later today from storage.

OT ok, since you asked so nice! :p
Well, I started it up yesterday at night but decided to drop it cause the teaser was freaking me out :o
Wanted to return it but forgot until I was home :rolleyes: and then decided to watch it afterwall (well, it WAS bright and sunny outside.. actually it poured and was quite stormy... LOL.

But "The unborn" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139668/ It´s funny it has quite the bad rap over there but it wasn´t THAT bad. It was actually not even quite as scary as I first thought.

But it´s about a woman who´s haunted by an evil spirit that wants to be born and so happens to go after twins. (and has a history with her family). She doesn´t know she is one until her eye color "changes" and she´s having nasty nightmares and lands herself (and her friends) in creepy situations. She sees a specialist about her eye who asks her about the twin thing. Turns out her would-be brother died in utero and this "spirit" tried to come into the world ever since but didn´t show up until she´s pregnant herself. What I didn´t get was "why" this evil thing needed to haunt her in the first place.. he could have simply taken the body of one of her children and let well enough alone to be born. :rolleyes: But then, it wouldn´t be spooky or a story at all :p

anyway, ok for a rental but glad I didn´t pay good money in the cinema on it!

Well, I started it up yesterday at night but decided to drop it cause the teaser was freaking me out :o
Wanted to return it but forgot until I was home :rolleyes: and then decided to watch it afterwall (well, it WAS bright and sunny outside.. actually it poured and was quite stormy... LOL.

But "The unborn" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139668/ It´s funny it has quite the bad rap over there but it wasn´t THAT bad. It was actually not even quite as scary as I first thought.

But it´s about a woman who´s haunted by an evil spirit that wants to be born and so happens to go after twins. (and has a history with her family). She doesn´t know she is one until her eye color "changes" and she´s having nasty nightmares and lands herself (and her friends) in creepy situations. She sees a specialist about her eye who asks her about the twin thing. Turns out her would-be brother died in utero and this "spirit" tried to come into the world ever since but didn´t show up until she´s pregnant herself. What I didn´t get was "why" this evil thing needed to haunt her in the first place.. he could have simply taken the body of one of her children and let well enough alone to be born. :rolleyes: But then, it wouldn´t be spooky or a story at all :p

anyway, ok for a rental but glad I didn´t pay good money in the cinema on it!

i watched it in cinema with my best friend and another friend of ours... our other friend made the mistake of sitting on her left side b/c that's the side she jumps to when she gets spooked.... we watched it at night and there weren't that many ppl in the cinema with us... we were all really freaked by that movie.... neither of us could look at mirrors for days afterwards.....and that kid *shudders*

I was the same...my friend kept going on and on and on (and on some more lol) about how gorgeous Jensen is, how great Spn is etc etc. She kept showing me pics and he came across as too pretty boy for me, and at the time I thought Spn would be too 'teeny' for me... but I was wrong, and she'll never let me forget it!! :rolleyes: :lol:

We have people at all different levels of the show... most of us have seen all aired eps, some people are still new and on S2... by the sound of it you'll be caught up in no time! :D do you have a favourite ep so far?

I started watching SPN for the hot guys, too :D I saw this one S1 promo pic of Sam and Dean in another forum and was like 'Woah, you need to watch this show!' :D

My story is actually not that interesting. I watched SG1 from start to finish, and when I was done I was pretty bored and thought of other series I could watch again, but I just didn't feel like re-watching anything else, so I decided to watch a totally new series. First I started looking for Jeremiah (cause I'm totally in love with Malek of the Tok'ra) but didn't find it anywhere, so I came across Supernatural. As soon as I started the first episode I was in Jensen-land :D

Another Thumper! *hugs* I think it was the promise of recurring whump that convinced me to give the show a try. I was at a loss after SGA ended, I usually only watch one show, so Spn was just the thing to fill that hole. I think what attracts me to both SG and Spn is the fact that it's 'normal' people in fantastic environments. I like SciFi shows because they're so different from RL, but I can get more into the characters if they're from my space and time. Does that make sense?

:indeed: And he's getting better all the time... It almost scares me sometimes when I go back to S1 how young the boys still look there. It's great to see them develop and mature over the years, not just emotionally (because the writers are doing a great job there) but also physically.

I've only seen clips of this show on YT, but Jensen was a guest star in the season 1 episode Pollo Loco, but his character , who incidentally was described as a 'psychotic killer' died at the end.It appears they liked him so much they brought him back as a regular in S2, playing theclone or twin of the other guy and this character was a lot more snarky and likeable, a bit like Dean already.

I'm so with you on this one, don't really like horror and gore. Queen has seen it, and she told me it was pretty graphic if you're not into that kind of thing - so I'm staying away for the moment. But some of the caps I've seen are extremely tempting... Especially this scene - for obvious reasons. (Thump at it's best!)

It must be great to be living in a country where you get the new eps on TV. Most of us here are from Europe, and they air much later. (In Germany they haven't even started S3 yet - or have they? I don't follow it because they're in German. :S) And you have to get really creative if you want to follow the show.

I've actually never seen Dark Angel, ever. Does he have a big role in that series? All I know is that Jessica Alba plays in it - but I guess everyone knows that.

Well, stars already gave you some heads up, so all I can add is, yes, his role (at least in season two) is quite big - he´s in every ep I think (even has one entirely devoted to his character, quite the emo whump ride too! *swoons* It´s called "The Berrisford Agenda". Though "Proof of Purchase" is pretty good as well (and whumpy -- well, he ends up in a cage and has an explosive device injected into his neck :p There´s several more, his character gets whumped pretty often on that show! LOL

Has anyone seen My Bloody Valentine? I'm a bit of a softy when it comes to Horror so I'm not sure if it's a movie for me, though he looks incredibly hot in the stills. (If it's hot enough I can endure the rest though) :D

Morning everybody! I don't usually notice these things, but this happens to by my 6.666th post. So picspam to follow later.

i'm the same way... i mean i love scifi and fantasy, but i really like stories where the characters are from the here and now and and the things they're doing could actually be happening....

i know what you mean... i watch a bunch of british shows and i don't have BBCA and even if i did, half the shows i watch aren't aired in the states anyways.... and i still need to catch up on the first two seasons....

It was never an issue before I started coming to GW, but now I'm a part of all the discussions and stuff of course I want the new eps HERE and NOW. It has also made me concentrate on one show, it used to be SGA and and now it's Spn. Between all the posting and capping and fanfic there's just not enough time for more.

I usually only sleep 5-6 hours (if I´m lucky), but every once in a while, I suddenly fall in a deep coma for 12-14 hours at a time! :eek:

Got my "Ten Inch Hero" movie today! *YAY*
Just have to find a spot to watch it, as I guess that my parents aren't that keen to watch an English film with Dutch subtitles, 'cause they don't really understand English and no Dutch.

Dean is an awesome character in Supernatural and Jensen's other roles in Smallville and more importantly, IMHO, Dark Angel really show the diversity of this guy's skills. I love how he can go from major bad ass in one scene and then break down later on and show his vulnerable side. Great thread.

I was positively surprised when Sebastian Spence popped up in Devil's Trap and Salvation. I loved him as Delek of the Tok'ra, and Narcho of BSG. Seeing him hosting that Demon just made me chuckle. Too bad he didn't last very long, really.

lol, i remember when SPN first came out... i was all excited b/c here was a show about things that go bump in the night and it wasn't a Buffy spin-off... back then i didn't thunk either of our boys, so i didn't really care who was in it... i watched three eps, kept on getting confused b/t who was sam and who was dean [( i mean i used to watch gilmore girls, and jared played dean there but now he's sam with an older brother dean and i just couldn't get my head around it )] anyways, i lost interest and stopped watching the show... or sure i'd catch an ep here or there if i was bored... i ended up watching most of s3 like that... it was summer and CW was reshowing the season b4 s4 premiered, and i got back into it, and now her i am :p

This made me smile, I actually thought the same thing. I enjoyed watching Buffy (and Angel) ages ago, and haven't really watched any series like it until now. Not that SPN is really much like it, for one the Vampires still look good when they transform ;)

I am in the middle of season two right now. I somehow managed to sleep all through saturday. No idea how that happened. I went to bed late friday, actually it was saturday 4am already, and when I woke up it was sunday morning. I'm incredibly confused. At least I didn't make any plans for yesterday. (I'm aware in some of your countries it's not sunday yet, but I'm in New Zealand at the moment, even though I'm actually Dutch and move back to Europe (Ireland) next month...)

Another Thumper! *hugs* I think it was the promise of recurring whump that convinced me to give the show a try. I was at a loss after SGA ended, I usually only watch one show, so Spn was just the thing to fill that hole. I think what attracts me to both SG and Spn is the fact that it's 'normal' people in fantastic environments. I like SciFi shows because they're so different from RL, but I can get more into the characters if they're from my space and time. Does that make sense?

I jumped into a BSG frenzy after SGA ended, and was utterly annoyed when that ended soon after, too. I love whump! I think my mother is secretly disturbed since half the posters on my wall aren't of the romantic kind but she doesn't show it, I give her credit for that.

I'm so with you on this one, don't really like horror and gore. Queen has seen it, and she told me it was pretty graphic if you're not into that kind of thing - so I'm staying away for the moment. But some of the caps I've seen are extremely tempting... Especially this scene - for obvious reasons. (Thump at it's best!)

Wow, he certainly worked out! I nearly choked on my sandwich when I saw those pictures :o
I guess I'll stay away for now, but I'm sure as soon as some of my friends find out about my dilemma they'll force me to sit through it, which takes it entirely out of my hands, really. I'm kind of hoping for that to happen, to be honest. I wouldn't be able to watch it by myself.
I was stupid enough watching The Ring I and II at night, alone at home, when my parents were away for the weekend.
Turned out to be a pretty paranoid two days...

It must be great to be living in a country where you get the new eps on TV. Most of us here are from Europe, and they air much later. (In Germany they haven't even started S3 yet - or have they? I don't follow it because they're in German. :S) And you have to get really creative if you want to follow the show.

Where about from Germany are you from? I'm Dutch but I grew up in Switzerland (Basel, mainly) and did quite some traveling through Germany.
By the way, I never liked watching German TV either, if it was synchronized. Most of the voices they choose somehow remind me of Bruce Willis and Tom Hanks, they always sound the same *chuckles*

MBV was in the cinema before I started with SPN.
But I showed the trailer on youtube today in my 13th grade physics class as an example for 3D cinema (which was an example for the use of polarisation, the current theme ;) )

Awesome! Getting some Jensen into your daily school life! I used to take any opportunity by the head.
Actually, it was so awful that I occasionally even slipped in the wrong terms, when we had to introduce ourselves to a new teacher I said "My Hobbits are" instead of my hobbies are (that was in my Lord of the Rings phase) and things like that. I like to believe that I've got myself under control now, but that's just wishful thinking :mckay:

I'm from Munich, but I went to university in Geneva, London and the US.

Of course I didn't notice the dubbing growing up because that was just the way TV was, and actually it took some getting used to the actors' 'real' voices when I moved overseas. It's worst when the actor has a kind of deep, gravelly voice (like my three thunks Jensen, Jason Momoa and Kiefer Sutherland). On German TV Jensen sounds like a school boy, and Kiefer like a real vanilla guy. Jack Bauer makes no sense on German TV.

Actually, I like the physics and technobabble in SG, especially the medical stuff. I have enough of a science background to get what they mean, but not so much that I notice the inconsistencies. What I also love in both SG and Spn is the mythology. Which is probably why I didn't like the Ori story arc. The old Egyptian, Norse and Asian gods represented by the Goa'ould were so much more interesting than those ascended super-beings.

I also prefer them older, both of them, but especially Jared, who is a tad too young at first, too near to my older pupils.

What I hate even more, is when they do interviews and have the English original voice waaaay in the background (but you can still hear it) while shouting the "translation" over it in German! VERY annoying! :p
I watched a DVD special with my father once and when we got to that, I couldn´t help yelling out loud: SHUT UP!! :lol:

But actually, I switched to original because it annoyed me when actors kept getting different voices in every movie. Either stick with one, or don´t do the dubbing in the first place. :o
But then, the VOICE is the most important for an actor´s performance, take that away, it just doesn´t work anymore. Serious and heartbreaking scenes become hideous and cringeworthy with the wrong voice... :S
Which is why dubbed movies/shows (which I know the original of) have become pure torture for me (and friends having to sit through them with me...) LOL. My mother keeps saying I was born in the wrong country. :lol:

I flipped the channels once and SGA´s "The Game" was on, but I didn´t stick around because it just didn´t work for me.
Years later bought season one (big O´Neill fan wanting to see the pilot guest spot) and instantly fell for Sheppard. :p
On the DVDs, I got curious how "whacked up" the job in dubbing would be and with McKay´s voice: I cringed! :lol:

What I hate even more, is when they do interviews and have the English original voice waaaay in the background (but you can still hear it) while shouting the "translation" over it in German! VERY annoying!
I watched a DVD special with my father once and when we got to that, I couldn´t help yelling out loud: SHUT UP!!

But actually, I switched to original because it annoyed me when actors kept getting different voices in every movie. Either stick with one, or don´t do the dubbing in the first place.
But then, the VOICE is the most important for an actor´s performance, take that away, it just doesn´t work anymore. Serious and heartbreaking scenes become hideous and cringeworthy with the wrong voice...
Which is why dubbed movies/shows (which I know the original of) have become pure torture for me (and friends having to sit through them with me...) LOL. My mother keeps saying I was born in the wrong country.

Aaaah. Gotcha. Yeah, his eyes are gorgeous. Funny how so many actors have blue eyes or brown, but less with green. When technically blue is a rarer eye color than green...

Well with the other guy, I do prefer his neck a lot, but Jensen has a nice one too, he just lacks the attention calling mark on it.

Stars, you guys are welcome to snurch any of my pics. I thought it may have come from Asylum ep, as I was snurch caps of that ep from over at that screencap place. Don't quote me on it, as I'm not totally sure. I've only ever watched the eps once each, as they were rentals from the local video shop. I do plan in the future to buy the dvd collection, so I can rewatch whenever I feel like it.

Anyway, I will never rant about my insomnia again. When I managed to fall asleep again I HAD MY VERY FIRST JENSEN DREAM!!!! *suppresses fangirly shriek* I don't remember much about it, but it was some kind of party or disco, and he was standing right next to me close to the dance floor, wearing that red shirt from the caps (!), and we were both watching what was going on, and moving and bopping to the music, and kept bumping into each other because it was pretty crowded. I don't think he ever looked at me, but he just felt so good, all muscly and hot and... FIRM! :lol:

You guys should see some Russian dubbing, I remember getting a Russian channel and maaan, the dubbing was horrid. You could clearly hear the English under the Russian. It shows that that station cheaped out and didn't buy the show without the sound.

They kept the English soundtrack for the noises, but it was so low that the voices were just a murmur, and you couldn't understand what was said. I also thought the Russian voice-overs sounded really disinterested and bored, like they were just reciting it from a piece of paper.

once upon a time i didn't mind geerman dubbing either. but it's gotten worse the more tv shows i watch in english. (thanks Jen :rolleyes: ) now i can't even watch tv shows in german where i don't know the original voice...

yeah you know, this is something i don't get. what's wrong using the teerm Kuchen? some thigns don't need to be translated imo. i always have to think about my elderly relatives who don't speak english at all. they're having more and more troubles - even when they only do their shopping.

once upon a time i didn't mind geerman dubbing either. but it's gotten worse the more tv shows i watch in english. (thanks Jen :rolleyes: ) now i can't even watch tv shows in german where i don't know the original voice...

I don't know who does the translations anyway. Anything that's sort of slang or colloquial ends up sounding really weird. The fact alone that they use 'Kumpel' for 'buddy'... *shudders*

That's what fascinates me about Dean's character, and Jensen's acting - the range of different emotions he's capable of. It never gets boring. How far are you in S3? Because there's a great example there, but I don't want to spoiler you.

I'm reading 'The Gargoyle' by Andrew Davidson and am about to start 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' by Stieg Larsson. Both pretty dark novels. Oh, and my son will have to read 'Pride and Prefudice' for English A. I'm considering getting him the audio book...
You may reconsider about your social life once you start watching. Season 4 is simply awesome - except for a slight lull in the middle... I holed up for a whole weekend to zip through the 18 or so eps that had aired already. Couldn't download them fast enough.

Only once since my day yesterday was quite busy and I was in the cinema in the evening, but still! Gonna watch it again, it was awesome!

I've got two questions, though

- Does Dean mean the General Education Development Test with GED?
- I didn't get the thing with the address, the dogs and the rover.

Good for you! I'm planning on watching it a third time today, you're right, there's so much going on you need several watches to take it all in. As for your questions,
- I didn't get that myself, but your explanation sounds feasible, since GED may also stand for 'General Education Diploma', and is only taken by students who did not finish High School - this could be another piece of info about Dean's school career. After the way he acted in After School Special it would not suprise me if he dropped out early.
- 'Rover' is considered the most common name for a dog in English speaking countries. So since the address was '42 Rover Hill Street', it pointed to the '42 dogs hill'.

Oh dear, that sucks. There's hardly anything more annoying than an ancient text that's badly written. Usually the language is convoluted enough to make it a chore, and when the content doesn't grip you it's even worse. You're right, I better stick to my own reading list. (The Gargoyle is amazing!)

I also watched Wishful Thinking and capped it, got 300 something, I need to edit them though. :)

That was a great ep. I don't think anything will ever top the bipolar teddy bear! (I got 351 from that ep...)

Oh dear, that sucks. There's hardly anything more annoying than an ancient text that's badly written. Usually the language is convoluted enough to make it a chore, and when the content doesn't grip you it's even worse. You're right, I better stick to my own reading list. (The Gargoyle is amazing!)

I finished "editing" my Wishful Thinking caps and there are 249 left over, some look very similar to each other, but there are slight differences. :o And some I couldn't cut out because switching back and forth between the images created a cute little gif-like thing. :o

Well, now that I have the DVDs it's easier. And I have to say for IKWYDLS
I liked all the other Rubies more than the current Ruby. I don't like how the actress plays her. I loved S3 Ruby to bits. And temporary Ruby was awesome and Maid-Ruby was hilarious.
