So my clone got here today by special delivery. They put him under for the transport, as usual. I think I got myself a real cutie, and I've decided to name him Pal. Not as in 'buddy' but as in ImPALa. Thought of IMP(ala) as well, but that might make him too hard to handle. The whole 'nomen est omen' stuff, you know?

Okay, question. Do you have (or allow?) clone pic fics in here? I think I just capped the perfect sequence for my very own Dean clone's arrival...
Squeee, clones!! :D Mine's on the way. I'll bring him out to play when I've named him!!

We do that a lot over on the Ronon thunk thread... And of course the clones talk to each other as well. We use different colors to show who's talking. Queen's and my Ronon clone are best buddies.
Hehe, some of the stuff they get up to is hilarious!! Yep, Snap & Mano are a force to be reckoned with... and they often come home good and whumped too! ;)

You're right, I never thought I'd watch anything like htis. Spook and gore is SOO not my genre. But somehow this show is different. *shrugs* Go figure.

How about Dead in the Water? I've been meaning to re-watch that one for a while. Jensen said in an interview this was the ep that gave him a handle on Dean's character.

I think Phantom Traveler was the episode I liked the least in S1, so I haven't watched it again and I have no clue what the opening credit scene was. It wasn't a bad ep - in fact Dean's fear of flying was a hoot - but it didn't really grip me like the others. *iz curious about caps*

In that case you better stay away from Phantom Traveler for now. I'm perfectly fine with flying, in fact I used to freak out my Mom because I would read these plane disaster books whenever we flew.

OTMy grandfather was a pilot, back in the 20s and 30s when it was still an adventure. Must be in my blood. I would have become a pilot myself - if only the airlines had accepted female candidates when I finished school...

It's not just the nerves about flying, it's that I have a very active imagination. I know that the stuff couldn't happen in RL, but doesn't stop my mind!

I used to be fine with flying, and then you hit that age where you realize you're not invincible. Flying isn't too bad, since technically it is the safest way of traveling.

I have watched Hook Man, Bugs and Home today. Hook Man was just amazingly creepy, Bugs was SCARY. I am arachnophobic, so that was no fun for me. Home, I just wanted to hug them so much during that scene in their home. And when Dean tried to call his dad, he looked so torn. :(

I don't like *anything* jumping out at me or scary/gory, so scenes where they get sliced open by baddies or they're creeping around in dark places being hunted themselves especially scare me.

To put it in perspective, I couldn't even watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer until last year because the first episode I saw was apparently one of the scariest ever and it put me off so much!

The *only* reason I started watching SPN was for Jensen and even though I still hate all the horror stuff in it, I like to see what happens when they're not getting ripped to shreds lol.

Slightly OT: I've just started watching Gilmore Girls to see Jared and OMG he looks so young lol.

You're where I was several weeks ago. I was zipping through those eps as well. Bugs wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the spiders looked fake enough not to be really scary, and the rest was mostly flying insects which I don't mind that much. BTW, there's a hilarious interview with Jensen where he describes how they put them into that room with 16,000 bees or something! And they had one sting him before to test if he's allergic to the venom. He said that was the hardest scene ever to shoot, and they all got stung pretty badly.

<edit> Found this interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yT0ah9uhVA) where he talks about the shot briefly, and it's also the one where he mentions why Dead in the Water was important to him. And I think he says 60,000 bees? :eek:

When Queen told me to check this out I went on YT and just picked some random eps. So the first ones I saw were actually Tall Tales and A Very Supernatural Christmas. So those were not too spooky, and when I started with the pilot I was already hooked on Jensen so I was willing to put up with the spooky bits to keep watching. You kinda get used to it after a while, and thank God the writers usually give you an idea what's gonna happen so you're prepared to cover your eyes when it finally happens.

Need to have another go at Hookman. It didn't grab me first time round, but now with re-watching the earlier eps I find so much more depth in them. The first time you kinda concentrate on the obvious things, the monster, the scary bits, so there's just too much information and you tend to gloss over the B story moments. I also pick up more details now because I know the characters better, and don't have to figure out so much why they say or do something a certain way.

Okay, so his hair is a bit floppy but his character's cute. A bit. Though it is weird hearing a Jared character being called "Dean". I keep expecting Jensen to walk in :P
