there are two sets of ranks, there is the "goa'uld" rank under your avatar that is linked to your post count but there is also a USAF rank that everyone has that take more posts to reach the next rank. right now i think everyone except mods are "Basic Trainees" we still have no idea how many posts before "Officer Class" officer class is when the new avatars are unlocked i believe
