Rations, water, first aid kit, extra ammo, and other things depending on the readings the MALP sends back.

Binoculars and C4 too.
Can we get a list going?

Primary weapon (typically P90, though have been using MP7s lately)
Sidearm (Beretta 92F, if I'm not mistaken)
Additional clips/magazines for weapons
Knife
Grenade(s)
C4 (maybe? I'm not sure this is standard-issue)
MREs
First Aid kit
Field medications (3 or 4, including one for scarlet fever)
Binoculars
GDO
Climate-appropriate uniforms + sunglasses (if necessary)
Tent(s)
Electronic perimeter alarm system

Water purification tablets would be another thing. And probably more than just 3 or 4 medications. At the least I would expect pain medicine, both minor (tylenol/advil/aspirin) and major (morphine, etc). I also think that the equipment carried would depend on the team. SG1 would have different equipment from, say, a military combat team like SG-3 who is, in turn, going to have a completely different loadout than one of the scientific teams (SG-11 I think is one).
It wasn't easy, took me about 10-15 minutes of googling to find it, but I did manage to find this at least:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2840503.stm
Sniper Rifle (says that many SF teams have a sniper)
GPS system (not much use offworld)
Communications (only really need to be able to reach the gate in this case, no real long range communications are generally needed. What they have, though, seems to have no trouble reaching orbit anyways).
M-16 with M-203 grenade launcher
Body Armor (though in many cases SG-1 at least seems to go for the non-combat tactical vest instead)
Claymore mines (we've certainly seen SG-1 whip these out often enough).
FN Minimi/ M249 light machine gun
Night Vision goggles
Other things as previously mentioned:
Water
Rations
Medkit
Primary and secondary firearms
Frag grenades (and possibly smoke and/or flashbang as well)
Combat Knife
Binoculars
Signal Mirror
Again, a lot of it seems to depend on the team and the mission as well. Don't forget that they can, generally, call or go back to the SGC and ask for more stuff if they need it. SG-1, being a scouting/reconnaisance team is generally going to carry less stuff. The second group of stuff I listed above almost certainly. The first set as needed probably.

Oh probably. I was just thinking back to that Season 1 episode when we first met Rya'c, and Jack whipped out 3 or 4 packages that he flipped through before opening one and mixing it up for the sick Rya'c.

1 - Not very often we see a team with that
2 - Yep
3 - That's something obvious I forgot, their radios
4 - Very very rare that we see this
5 - Yep
6 - Yep
7 - Not very often we see those either
8 - Good point

All very good points.

Special Forces equipment, and SGC equipment that are basics for offworld travel.

Actually, SG3 (or whatever happens to be the random 'marine' team in the episode) quite often carry sniper rifles and grenade launchers. Reynolds tends to have a M-203 when he's using his M4 and I've seen numerous soldiers/marines/airman carrying M-82 sniper rifles.

Don't forget zats. Carter uses a zat instead of a sidearm in many episodes.

I'd imagine some sort of standard lighter as well... sorry, not sure what but I'd think something to start a fire would be standard equipment.
(unless its included in some kit mentioned above in which case, forgive me for being repetitive LOL)

How bout a signaling mirror and a flashlight? They are small, pack well and can come in very handy when needed.
Didn't Carter use a mirror to signal one of the UAVs in that ep where she was hunted by the super soldier? (I'm bad at episode names sorry).

I did mention a signaling mirror to be fair. And, yeah, a flashlight and a change of batteries seems likely too.

I read somewhere in the forum it's actually the XM109, you can see it at the barrrel or something.

The military use these sticks which spark a flame under almost any conditions.
Another thing would be Adrenaline pens with other medication.
There's alot of stuff for such small bags!

sam used her watch face to try and signal the UAV
they might not have purification tablets as much as super straws. They have straws that have filters in it that strain stuff out to the micron level.
epinepherine pens for allergic reactions, ration bars (we've seen these)
likely a change of socks, basic toiletries - if they're staying over night, they're gonna bring thier tooth brush :)
perhaps a sponge - its'in some survival supplies/kits

There's a good point on watches. I've noticed from time to time Jack has a cover on his watch, so it doesn't reflect and give away their position.

I don't think the straws will necessarily filter out bacteria and parasites and the like. Certainly not all of them if they're anything like the water filters you get for your house. Even the really good ones like the Pur Ultimate don't kill germs. Some of the big ones do, but I think they actually use a UV light source to do it. Besides, the chlorine tablets are small and reliable. I would think they would have some just as a backup if nothing else. They make the water taste nasty, though. You pretty much would have to add a second chemical (iodine I think) to neutralize the chlorine. Or use one of those straws you mentioned.

Normally the science teams carry the MP5's and the Military carry the more heavier equipment like M4's, M249's etc and SG1 has the P90's.
Though I might just be going insane.

not al of the straws filter the ickies out, but some of them do. I've seen them on documentaries on the HIstory CHannel. They're straws that are about an inch in diameter that filter out the bad stuff
