mine is the wraith from common ground maybe because he was different from all the other wraith encountered so far in atlantis
which were all of the you will bring doom upon yourself variety.
the common ground wraith was very different in that he had a sense of humour and he was certainly a much better wraith
than the wraith queen in allies who was very annoying.
hopefully we will get to see more wraith like the one in common ground. :sheppard:

mine was the wraith from 'common ground' aswell. Mainly because this wraith actually had personality, his single focus wasn't food like all other wraith.

damn forgot about michael he was great can't wait to see him back in atlantis
bob the wraith they captured during the siege trilogy was another wraith i liked
since no-one gave the wraith in common ground a name i'm going to name him danny. :)
feel free to come up with your own names for him i just don't want to be calling him the common ground wraith all the time.

Michael's my fave. But they're all interesting....:wraith37:
At least they're not trying to murder the helpful Wraith anymore.
Don't worry, WraithLover-there are plenty of males to go around.:wraithqueen10:

Its got to be the :wraith37: from common ground. He had personality, humour, the lot. Awesome wraith. the revenge thing between him and :ronananime16: was a good trait for a wraith to have. But coming a very close second Michael.

Steve was hilariously cliche, but it was nice to get away from the "we will destry you *grunt*" type wraith for one episode.

I quite liked the Wraith from "The Defiant One"; he was badass evil, feeding on his own crew, tossing Sheppard around like a sack of potatoes, and he had a bit more personality than most Wraith.
Wraith: What world are you from?
Gaul: You’re gonna kill me anyway.
Wraith: You have come here by ship. Where is it?
Gaul: You’re gonna kill me anyway.
Wraith: (smiling unpleasantly) But not... all at once.
A decent enemy, I thought. Smart, vicious, and he actually made the life-sucking thing a credible threat; it's not like they either kill you or they don't. Gaul's fate was one of the most heart-wrenching moments of Atlantis to date, in my book, so the Defiant Wraith gets my vote.

I didn't really like Michael. He seemed a bit too whiny and pathetic for my taste.

I like Michael, I agreed with virtually every point he's made and I really hope to see him get the revenge he deserves one day. The things that have been done to the guy are inexcusable.
The show needs more thinking intelligent Wraith like him and the original hive Keeper and less hissing drooling types.

I absolutely agree. If TPTB have Michael come back, show him as a hissy monster, and kill him because he tries to get his vengeance....
Now what I'd find interesting would be him teaming up with more of the intelligent Wraith. The city of Atlantis wouldn't have a chance.:wraithanime11:

I have to choose common ground, because he showed a different side of the wraith. Micheal would be next.
I hope we see both of them again, they bought fresh looked on the wraith.

Someone on Sci fi straight dope suggested that "Vengence" should feature Michael turning Beckett into some sort of mutant abomination, perhaps an Irratus type creature. You know, to see how he likes it when someone else judges him to be born wrong and acts to "fix" him.

it's actually how she carries herself.... the charisma and attitude she exudes makes her more appealing.... she has that "holyer than thou" and "don't touch me scum" arua that the other wraith queens don't seem to have... imo

My apologies. By "ugly", I meant "bad**s", but I'm not allowed to say that on gw. ;) Ah, the foibles of slang.
And yeah, he was pretty cool (as were his duds), but I'm still gonna have to pick the queen from "the Hive" myself. Not the one from "Allies". She was beyond creepy.

The allies queen was cool in terms of character (too bad she didn't become recurring but this is Atlantis and she was a villian with possible potential) but in terms of appearence I didn't care for her so much. The reason is she looked too human. If you look from the Rising Keeper to the Hive Queen to the Allies Queen, the queens have gotten progressivley more human looking as the series went on. First they ditched the Wraith hands, then they changed the teeth to look more attractive, then they went to more human like skintones. At this rate the next one will just have different eye colour and no eyebrows.
I don't like this because I like my aliens to look alien. Now granted there's limits to what you can do with human actors but I'd hate to think that they're deliberately de-alienizing the Wraith females in some misguided attempt to make them "hotter" for males 13-24. Wraith females should not be overly sexy, or sexy in the same way as a human female. The one in Rising had what I would consider to be the perfect balance between sensual and alien/monsterous. At times she seemed alluring and at others terrifying and she switched between the two throughout her scene. This is the way it should be. The Wraith females shouldn't be 100% sexy or 100% scary. They should lie right on the line between the two to play on that sense of creepy alien sensuality.

this is true, but then you also have to consider that all female wraith are played by the same actress, and drastic changes in wraith appearance must be made so that it is not overtly obvious... unlike male wraith in which you only have to change the facial hair or add a mask and it's a completely different wraith... although i wouldn't mind seeing a wraith with purplish skin tones :p

One thing about the Wraith Queen in Allies is that she appeared totally different in No Man's Land. The tats were gone (I know, I've watched that part several times simply because I like her dialogue with Michael), and her skin was back to Wraith green. Part of it may have been the lighting, but anyone with a human skin tone in that episode still had human skin tone.
She did have the potential to be a great villain. She had this charisma and attitude which made you want to hit her and like her at the same time.

Does TechnoWraith count as a favorite Wraith, or must they only be characters from Atlantis? If it's the characters, yes, I agree with Lida. Dan Payne makes an awesome Wraith. So the Wraith from Sateda.

I know it's the same girl. I'm apparently the only guy to ever find decent out of makeup pics of her even.:D
I just think that when they decide to do a new Wraith queen they should try to keep a bit more alieness in mind. The Allies one looked like a human from a distance, even the cloths did. She almost looked like she came from some sort of parallel universe where humans and Wraith lived on Earth together.

She had a youthful arrogance about her. She seemed like the youngest queen we've seen, the Keeper being the oldest and the Hive queen somewhere in the middle.
The allies queen (can we have real names at some point please) seemed very clever though and probably would have grown into quite a powerful leader.
I noticed the weird differences int he makeup to. She looked downright hideous in no mans land.

Funny my 2 favourite wraith are the CG wraith and the Sateda wraith king, yet both are at opposite sides of the spectrum. One is sensitve, intelligent and very relaxed, the other is very primitive and brutal.
