I have recently been aware of the second half of Season 3 Stargate Atlantis episodes being available for download, so far there is episodes 11, 12 and 13. i have not downloaded these myself i should expect people on this forum feel the same way. im pretty sure these episodes are not meant to be shown on TV till March/April or something like that, so i wish for people to help me (INC Gateworld Staff) to crack down on this, because if im correct people are stealing these episodes or gaining access to these episodes to make them available early. we all want stargate to remain, but episodes of sg1/atlantis being released early will cripple the amount of viewers the show gets, so i think this really needs to be sorted.

if you have anything to add to this or if im wrong in any way please let me know.

People have not been "stealing these episodes or gaining access to these episodes to make them available early". The episodes are airing in Canada. They will air in the UK in January. It is only in the US that they will not air until April.

If you choose not to download then good for you - however, pretty much everyone here already knows that downloading is illegal and GW policy is ALREADY in place to deal with the issue - discussion of downloading is forbidden on GW and any posts doing so get deleted.

Your post is pretty irrelevant therefore and it might have been an idea for you to take the time to look around the forum and e.g. read through the rules etc before posting this lecture.

You know little about fandom with your remarks. DL has not proven (on this or any other show) to impact ratings of shows. What WILL cripple the ratings will be SciFi's inane tactic of taking the SG shows off the air for half a year, and having crappy writers on the staff. Those two things willd destroy the show before anything else. Also, if a fan actually mails a DVD to a friend, would you stop that too? If you look at stats of purchased DVD sales, the SG shows doing pretty well.

If you'd like to help out, why not stop the estimated one million Canadians who actually stealing U.S. satellite services? ;)

We do our best to crack down on download links being posted here. In fact, posting of said links is strictly against the rules. yet, we have no end of rule breakers and people that refuse to respect the rules they agreed to when they signed up and continually spam the forum asking for download links, or posting links

if you, the general you, really want to help us, don't create threads to complain about it. when you see a download link or request for a link, report the post and help us shut these folks down.

Complaining does nothing. Helping be a part of the 'cure' does.
