I say screw Sci-Fi over and don't watch BSG. Go to a friend's house and watch it . Because, really, they need to be shown that it was their poor planning that lead to the low ratings.

It does raise a question over whether the selected households with an actual permenant Nielson box are a representative sample for all the shows on television. But you can't really send random people the boxes and tell them you want to monitor their televisions 24/7. So I doubt the random one-weekers are actually included in the official ratings. Physically hand-written logs aren't really reliable since it requires both honesty and a tediousness (is that a word?) to do them.

I think it is all made up so a certain group in the industry can pick and choose what we watch. Same with the emmy's and grammy's

that would screw up the stats but who gives a damn. watch the week day stargate shows and the weekend ones. id stay away from scifi, and mtv and go straight to the history channel, spike, comedy central and National geographic.
