Why would they change the actor from wormhole xtreme?

usual reasons for replacing an actor would be the original actor isn't available on the day of shooting, could have been busy with personal matters, busy on another project or was just out of the country.

Mabey but it was Peter not Michale(i don't even think their is one in that family) anyway he played the same character. But I kinda figured in was in reference to RDA and BB.

I agree with the above posters, I also saw it as a reference to the change in Colonels in SG-1.

Personally, I liked DeLuise better, but they are a hilarious family and I enjoy any role that I've seen any of them in.
