I still dont get how they actually built the supergate, after all in this episode you get a really good size comparison between a normal gate and the parts that make up the supergate and there is no way they could have fit through

nope it just another one of thoise stargate things you just take for granted that it happen

I still dont get how they actually built the supergate, after all in this episode you get a really good size comparison between a normal gate and the parts that make up the supergate and there is no way they could have fit through

Each "slice" was made up of even smaller piece that can fit through the gate.
Kind of like atoms < molecules < elements, etc.

Another popular theory is that they use 2 supergates:

The first is made up of the chunks that come through the normal gate. This is the gate that starts forming in "Beachhead"

The second is made of Al'kesh sized chunks that come through the first.


Of course this, like anything else, is just a theory. The Segments could simply expand or something. I dunno.
