Dude, no need to slam a character. Don't you think you might actually offend someone? Ever think that maybe your whining might be considered rude and childish? For the love of...

Want to slam him? Start an 'I Hate McKay' thread.

Ha! good idea but... some of the other comments were not all "good" comments so don't pick on me. If you want an "only good-type" post you start one. there was nothing in this that said things couldnt be a tad negative, and the first one was "Interpersonal relationships for Dummies" so it started off sarcastic. HA! Got nothing on me!

That was lightly poking fun at the scientist (and all his fans know it's true). You were blantantly slamming him into the ground. With a sludge hammer. I ignored your #7, hoping you'd quit but that flew out the window.

I'm willing to bet good money Beckett never let him live that down.

Also,
A panic button when, inevitably, he gets hurt to call the infirmary. Poor unlucky guy.

Who else think he's gonna get injured at least once an episode? Makes a great running joke.

I've taken out number ten as that as a 'snark' from one poster to another poster. Now, if you don't want to have this thread closed please stick to the subject, have fun and stop bickering. If you have a problem with an individual poster take it to email or PM them, or if you feel they've broken forum rules then please report it to the mod. But don't derail a thread - it is unfair on the other posters. We ask that people treat other posters with respect. Please remember that. Try to keep this light hearted, as I'm sure it is meant to be.

They carry all sorts of stuff....

1.The Book: Interpersonal Relationships for Dummies.
If you give Dr. Beckett his professional title of doctor, you should do the same to Dr. McKay.

Dr. McKay's backpack has food, some 2 litres of Mt. Dews, and a gameboy in it.

Not to be picky, but you don't want a black hole. You'd never be able to retrieve anything you put there. What you want is a pocket in subspace. You know, like that box in "Hide and Seek".

I was just re-reading the list. Although McKay is always asking about lemons, he actually said that he has a citrus allergy. McKay would not have Mountain Dew in his backpack. It contains orange juice and citric acid. Its advertising touts its "extreme citrus taste". So McKay would avoid Mountain Dew like the plag.., er..., like the Wraith.

thats the point of the post I think. It is making fun of McKay's Lemon allergy or McKay is being suicidal

Well, since the other 2 things would be the kind of things McKay would have in his backpack, I thought maybe the poster didn't know about McKay's allergy. I added something to the list for his citrus allergy after post number 42.

And McKay's not the type of person who would be carrying Mountain Dew for a friend. :)

66. An electronic keyboard.

Although his piano teacher told him at 12 that he had no sense of the art whatsoever, music still has that perfect order McKay can’t resist. So he kept on playing the piano. Even if the notes held no art, at least there was order. He plays on an electronic keyboard with a headset plugged in so no one can hear him play.

In my opinion, McKay as an adult may have found that sense of art that an inexperienced 12 year old didn’t have. But will he ever find out?

And his lack of the sense of the art was only the opinion of one music teacher, who shouldn't have been teaching children.

Um, I believe an electronic keyboard will have to be stored in that subspace pocket (#57) to fit in McKay’s backpack.

Don't know what you're trying to say here. I would think McKay would welcome more bullets, not fewer. Of course he's not looking for the opportunity to use them.

Actually, I was just tryin to create a 'funny' reference to "The Defiant One" episode of Atlantis.

If you havent seen it - then I wont spoil it - but if you have, well...it was funny to me!:o

You dont have to include it.

I don't see how it's funny if McKay has no more bullets, but whatever. The US hasn't seen this episode yet so I don't know if we want to put spoiler entries in his backpack. But it's not my decision to include or exclude entries, although we're trying to say what McKay has in his backpack, not what he's missing. Maybe you can start another thread for that. :)
