Gate virus to locate the Ori galaxy (possible spoilers)

Since it appears we are unable to dial the Ori galaxy using the supergate, therefore leaving sg-1 without a viable way to deploy the sangraal weapon when and if they do find it against the Ori, I have an idea.

I feel that sg-1 should try and creata a gate virus and spread it to all of the gates in the Milkyway galaxy. The virus would be designed to record all of the incoming wormhole addresses, and then down load the data to the stargate on earth via establishing an outbound wormhole to the entire network once or twice a month to try and locate the address of origin for the gate in the Ori galaxy (after a prior visits). If they can determine the gate address and locate the weapon, they could possibly use the zpm in Atlantis to dial their gate and send the weapon through. What do you all think of this idea?

ther's no way to use the sangraal. unless we find the ori galaxy and have the asgard go their with their ownage hyperdrives and turn on the sangraal after leaving the MW

Right, thats the point on the MW gate virus, so we can locate the Ori galaxy when one of the Priors comes through. Then they have to of course find the weapon if they can. Then use the ZPM to dial form earth to that address ( if it is not to far for the zpm ) and send the weapon through. If the ZPM doesn't work use the black hole for the power source. Just another idea.

then they'll destroy the sangraal themselves..forget about the noninterference policy, their existence is at stake

yeah their existence is already at stake. when ori gain some fancy powers they'll be kickin' some ancient ass. knowing that the ancients still wont interfere.

but we should realy think of using it against the ancients anyway. so when daniel ascends again he will be able to ascend more people and then they could interfere in major affairs. like someone wipeing out the galaxy...they could stop them becuse there wouldnt be anyone around anymore who could stop them.

Ah now that would be a point to take into consideration. However, that would basically be genocide of the entire Ancient race. Even though they are ascended they would be essentially commiting mass murder. Plus, all of the people of Abydos were ascended so they would all be wiped out as well.
