Changing Usernames

I need to know how to change my name on this forum?
Can anyone direct where I go to change or if it is possible to change it?

It is not somthing that we do often, nor is it something that i'll do more than once for any one person. But it has been done

Thankyou for your help you two,I can see why it would be limited that once you accept the name you have,there is no changing back.

I am just not pleased with the one I chose hehe,but there is not much point in changing I guess.:)

but why not give the members the power to do it it wouldn't hurt anythingI don't think that would be such a good idea. Than everyne can change usersnames when they want without a reason. So there would be people who change their names every day...well that would be confusing and no fun at all.
I think it is good the way it is. Now you better think before you register what name you want cause you are stuck with it forever.

Because a person's name is thier identity and if people could change thier names on a whim, we'd have no end of '____ was a bad girl, so she made this identity to troll, then changed it to something else to avoid punishment'

The technology is there to change names, but it's not something we do on a whim for just that reason. Your name is your identity and we'd like to keep it as consistent as possible

He did/does a LOT of stuff behind the scenes that we weren't/aren't aware of.

how about slight alteration to user names

example if i wanted to add mal doran to my user name would that be ok
instead of changing it completely

Actually, you ARE asking about a change- whether it's "added on" or "completely different" it will still be a change from whatever the current name is and you (or the person who wants it done) still has to petition SkyDiver with your (or their) reason for the change and then hope that she agrees that the reason is good enough to warrant the hassle of going in to modify the name.

i think what see meant was that if you want to slightly alter your name would it be ok and would it still be something you do once and would still have to think about it.

example if i wanted to change my name to capt.bob reynolds

How often do you get requests for name changes?
