After I watched then new episode on Scifi, I went to my collection and pulled out Season 7 and watched "Fallen". In that episode, O'Neill and Carter by passed Anubis's shields by a Hyperspace "Jump". Couldn't this tactic be used against the Ori? All they would need to do is to get some 302's with the Naquadria Hyperdive tech and put some Nuclear warheads in them and send them into a Hyperspace jump to bypass the shieds. For that matter, couldn't they reapear inside of the ship?

I'm thinking that because the Priors needed to turn the ships "on" and they run off that kind of energy (the blue ball in the center of the ships being like the blue light in a prior's staff), they can use the device which interupts a prior's powers to disable the ships in close range for a short time.

Originally posted by Happy_GateIt's possible, but they'd have to be able to get mighty close to the Ori ships. Even if they don't get shot down, there's no telling whether a nuke will do any damage to the ship.
Edit: Nevermind, after rewatching Camelot, I did see the Ori ships do have secondary weapons. They do not look as powerful ast the main ones on the front of the ship though.Last edited by PSp2gamer; 15 July 2006, 07:08 PM.

On top of everyone having had the idea, if you rewatch Camelot you will see that the Ori ships fire a sort of secondary smaller energy weapon from the sides and back of the ship.

well the nuke will definatly do damage, and if it doesnt then they orii dont need shields...
The Orii essentially are the ancients, the ancients were good aat building shields... So if you think about it, the orii should be able to build some serious shields... Jumping thru them i don't believe would work.. If they are as powerful and as smart as they claim, they would also have secondary shields closer into the ship, close enough incase someone did it they would be protected, yet still feel the impact.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGgHAXalVyM

When Sam, Teal'c, Mitchell, and Bra'tak tried to ring a bomb into one of the Ori ships, it didn't work.
How about we ring a nuke into space, but inside the shields of the Ori ship. It would be hard, yes, but we have seen rings used to transport things in and out of space before.http://www.bentsynapse.net/images/zidane_dethstar.gif
If only we have Zidane on Stargate.....
**Mentally replace that deathstar with an Ori ship**

well first drones have to be tested to see if they at least work somehow. Asgard need to make some sort of contribution. It is possible to return to the planet in The Fifth race, get someone to use the device and go to asgard to build more drones with the ancient knowledge.
Also investigating the possibility of using out of pase technology, merlins device or something.
Another idea is using the device kaleks to artifically ascend someone to contact the alterternas.
