Future of the show according to Amanda Tapping

There's an interview with Amanda in recent TV Zone Special #71, and the last paragraph of it is about the future of SG-1:

"With Season 10 of SG-1 shortly to begin airing on the US Sci-Fi Channel, what are the actress's thoughts about the future of the show? "First off, 10 years is a gift, no matter how you slice it," notes Tapping. "The series has new legs and a new energy to it, and with Ori as a threat we could potentially carry on. Who knows? To be honest, it's all down to ratings. There are a lot of changes, and if the fans embrace those changes, great. As is always the case, time will tell."

Well then, here's to hoping things go right this season. I loved Season 9, and Season 10 sounds even better to me so far. Let's just hope the majority of people feel the same way.

No. It sounds as if she'll be happy if fans enjoy the new direction. Anything beyond that would be transferring one's own personal feelings about what she might secretly be implying about fans who don't care for it onto her comments.

i don't know. i wouldn't mind *this version* of stargate sg1 to end, so the movies (with the original sg1) could star in them.

let s10 be the last of 'this' show, then either *officially* spin it off with bb/cm-cb/vm as stargate: command. or whatever they want to call it.
