but figured I'd post the news of this issue here. Just hit newsstands this week as far as I can tell.
STARGATE SG-1 SPOILERS
"Memento Mori"
Spoiler:
Ben Browder says "Mitchell is handcuffed to a bed with Vala standing over
him. That's pretty much all you need to know. Watch for the scene" (meanwhile,
the article says that scene was filmed at the Ascent Inns)
"Morpheus" - Mallozzi said "It's an off-world, weird, kind of quiet mystery
juxtaposed with this comedic B-story involving the Vala character.
"Following Morpheus, Paul and I wrote Counterstrike, which is a very
action-driven, arc-driven story involving a grand villain and the Jaffa along with a
diplomatic mission that requires General Landry to accompany Bra'tac to
Dakara."
"There's SG-1's mid-season two-parter The Quest, of which I wrote the first
half and Paul is currently working on Part Two. It's a sort of epic tale alone
the lines of Dungeons and Dragons." Director Andy Mikita sais "The story is
reminiscent of last year's Avalon, in that our heroes are having to solve a
number of puzzles in their quest for the Sangraal, which if you remember, is the
weapon that Merlin was supposedly working on to defeat the Ori."
Dan Shea speaks of a stunt from Memento Mori. "Mitchell commandeers a
motorcyle and zoooms through traffic and pops wheelies as he chases a car that has
absconded with Vala. In order to shoot this,we're taking over a major roadway,
highway 91. ... At the end of the chase.... we're going to roll the car. The
Vala character will be inside the car and she'll elbow the person in the
backseat and then kick the guy in teh front seat, causing him to lose control of the
vehicle."
More on Mori.
General Landry has some stern words for a Trust operative named Weaver,
playead by Brendan Beiser, who was the ill-fated nice guy Agetn Pendrell on the
X-Files. Bridges says "The cast is fantastic and I enjoy working with all of
them. Of course, bringing Claudia Black in as a regular is a smart move. ... I'm
pleased to say that my character and Ben's are interacting more in year 10 as
well. There's a terrific episode we did called The Univited in which Mitchell
ends up in a situation where he has to spend some time alone with the general.
There's a great deal of humor in the story, but eventually some aliens show up
and the mood turns more serious."
200th episode
"The story has absolutely nothign to do with our overall story arc this year"
- Michael Shanks. "It's very much an island unto itself. Obviously, it was a
highlight to do, not necessarily because of anything my chracter did, but it
was just a treat to look around and see the faces of all those people who have
been with the series from the very beginning.. ... There's a lot of in-joking
that goes on, not just about what it's like to make a sci-fi show, but also
what it's like behind the scenes in terms of story pitches, discussion that we
had, etc., which fans are sure to appreciate. It's all done in juest and as
you'll see we had a ball shooting this episode."

STARGATE ATLANTIS
"McKay and Mrs. Miller"
Spoiler:
Joe Mallozzi did the outline for SGA ep "Irresistable" and "Brad Wright gave
him (Richard Kind) a call to ask if he was interested in doing a sequel to the
episode and Richard agreed in a heartbeat. So I'm trying to think of possible
plots for that".
McKay and Mrs Miller
"This is a very scientific episode that deals with an awful lot of the sci-fi
elements that are Atlantis, and yet it's one of hte most character-driven
stories we've ever done," explains David Hewlett. "There's this amazing family
dynamic between McKay and the rest of the Atlantis team, and then McKay's sister
comes along and hits it off with his colleagues. They're like, 'She's quite
nice. Why can't we work with her instead of her brother." Kate [Hewlett] is
just fantastic in the role and it's such a pleasure for me to work with her."
