Within the Serpent's Grasp
There But For The Grace Of God
Enigma
I was suprised to find myself voting for Engima but I like the team interaction at the end. And I think my favorite ending of all time may be Within the Serpent's Grasp -- I love the drama seeing everyone reactions when they realize exactly where they are.
*scratch head* it's happened again... I like Solitudes, but I find-out today that the ending is NOT that good, same as TBFTGOG & Within the Serpent's Grasp
Same again! Solitudes is a great ep, but the ending is kind of meh....
AND, I despise Fire and Water, but loved the ending!
So,

The Serpent's Lair
INT—SGC GATE ROOM
[As O'Neill, Carter, Teal'c and Bra'tac enter, everyone breaks into applause.]
HAMMOND
Master Bra'tac. Words cannot express our gratitude.
BRA'TAC
You are Hammond of Texas?
HAMMOND
I am.
BRA'TAC
Your warriors serve you well.
HAMMOND
I know they will be sorry to see you return home so soon.
BRA'TAC
I must return before word of our rebellion reaches Chulak. My place is there.
[Bra'tac grasps O'Neill's arms in farewell, before turning to Teal'c. He touches Teal'c's face.]
AIRMAN
This way, sir. We want to ask a few questions before you leave.
[Bra'tac leaves with the Airman.]
O'NEILL
Not bad at all.
HAMMOND
SG-1—there's someone who'd like to see you.
[Daniel makes his way from the back of the crowd.]
CARTER
Daniel!
[O'Neill, grinning, pulls Daniel into a bear hug.]
O'NEILL
(grasping his neck and hair)
Spacemonkey! Yeah!
[O'Neill steps back and holds Daniel's shoulders as Daniel returns his smile. Carter hugs Daniel before the assembled staff gather round, laughing and congratulating SG-1.]
In the Line of Duty
INT—HALLWAY
[Daniel exits, finding O'Neill, Cassandra and Fraiser waiting for him. He crosses his arms.]
DANIEL
She's still the same.
CASSANDRA
Janet said that the Goa'uld left after it died.
DANIEL
Well, that's right. Um, it died and her body's absorbing it. She's the same old Samantha Carter. Same person we've always known.
O'NEILL
(rubbing the girl's arm)
Cassie, she's just a little sad right now. But I'll bet she cheers up when she sees you.
(patting her arm)
Come on.
[Cassandra enters the hospital room and walks to Carter's bedside. She turns, seeing O'Neill, Fraiser and Daniel watching from the doorway. She climbs onto the side of the bed and lightly touches Carter's shoulder.]
CASSANDRA
Sam, it's me.
[She gets no response. Cassie easily turns Carter over and she looks up with extremely tired and sad eyes. She looks on the verge of tears. Cassie smiles reassuringly.]
CASSANDRA
You're going to be okay.
[Fraiser smiles at O'Neill. Carter exhales sharply, closing her eyes for a moment before looking back up at the young girl.]
Prisoners
INT—SGC CONTROL ROOM
[Hammond rushes in and runs up the stairs. O'Neill, Teal'c and Daniel are close behind.]
HAMMOND
What's going on?
FEMALE TECHNICIAN
Unauthorized Gate activation.
[A view of the computer monitor indicates chevrons locking in place.]
HAMMOND
Abort countdown. Get a team to the Gate room.
FEMALE TECHNICIAN
It's sealed, sir.
HAMMOND
Unseal it. Colonel O'Neill, effect the manual override.
[O'Neill nods his agreement and starts to type at a keyboard while more chevrons lock. Carter and Dr. Greene run into the room.]
DANIEL
(to Carter)
Where's Linea?
DR. GREENE
We came to, she was gone.
FEMALE TECHNICIAN
(as chevrons finish locking)
Wormhole has been activated.
HAMMOND
You were unconscious?
DR. GREENE
Only for a few minutes.
FEMALE TECHNICIAN
The abort command is not responding, sir.
[A monitor counts down from 34 seconds. Carter takes a seat at one of the computers to help. The blast door raises. Linea is on the ramp at the event horizon.]
HAMMOND
(Into the microphone)
Step away from that Gate.
(to technician)
Shut it down.
[The female technician enters a code.]
O'NEILL
It won't take our code, sir.
HAMMOND
Close the iris.
COMPUTER VOICE
Self-destruct in 20 seconds.
[Linea looks back from the event horizon.]
HAMMOND
Try shutting the whole system down.
CARTER
We can't sir. She's gone into the computer. She got the coordinates. Everything.
[Linea stands there still, then turns and walks into the event horizon.]
COMPUTER VOICE
Self-destruct in 10 seconds.
[The technician is desperately keying in numbers.]
FEMALE TECHNICIAN
(shaking her head)
The codes have been erased.
COMPUTER VOICE
5…
CARTER
This doesn't make any sense.
[O'Neill looks at her.]
COMPUTER VOICE
4…3…2…1
[The Gate shuts down, and they all wait for a few moments, but nothing happens. Hammond looks at O'Neill, and O'Neill to Hammond.]
O'NEILL
(To the technician)
Redial those coordinates. Request permission to go after her.
HAMMOND
(simultaneously)
Granted.
[Suddenly, the room darkens as the system blacks out.]
FEMALE TECHNICIAN
The entire system just crashed.
O'NEILL
Well, get it back up!
CARTER
Colonel?
[Carter's computer screen displays a message being typed out. The message says "Thank you for your kindness. All debts have now been paid." They stare dumbfounded at the screen.]
CARTER
(anxious)
We let her out.
DANIEL
The Destroyer of Worlds.
[They all look out at the darkened Gate room ominously. Fade to black]
The Gamekeeper
EXT—PLANET P7J- 989 STARGATE
[A resident watches Daniel dial Earth. The Stargate opens. O'Neill joins Daniel at the DHD.]
RESIDENT #1
(To O'Neill)
Again, we thank you. You have given us a whole new world of beauty and future experiences.
O'NEILL
Well you've still got a lot of work to do, but we'll send along some supplies to get you started.
THE KEEPER
(Stalking between the group.)
They are ruining everything.
(He glares at O'Neill.)
Do you know they are actually picking the flowers?
[He stalks off.]
O'NEILL
(To Daniel)
This is real this time, isn't it?
[The Keeper utters noises of outrage, gasping at what the residents are doing in the garden.]
THE KEEPER
(To residents)
Do not pull that!!
[Residents are picking flowers.]
THE KEEPER
You are ruining the garden!
[He turns and glowers at Daniel and O'Neill.]
THE KEEPER
I told you they will ruin everything. First, the garden. Next, the entire planet!
[O'Neill and Daniel look at each other and smile.]
O'NEILL/DANIEL
(In unison)
It's real.
[SG-1 turn and walk away. Daniel spares a glance back at the Keeper.]
THE KEEPER
(To residents.)
You are ruining the garden!
O'NEILL
(Cheerfully)
'S go!
(Carter hands him his weapon.)
Thank you, ma'am.
[The team head for the Stargate as the Keeper bites his fist, completely outraged.]
Need
INT—THRONE ROOM
[Shyla is leaning against the sarcophagus, crying. Daniel walks in behind her.]
SHYLA
I did not believe you would ever return.
DANIEL
I’m sorry…about your father…about everything.
SHYLA
The sarcophagus could not help him anymore.
[Shyla stands up and faces Daniel.]
SHYLA
You never did love me did you?
DANIEL
I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t care.
SHYLA
I don't deserve to live after what I’ve done to you.
DANIEL
Yes, you do. Your people need you. You may still be able to lead them without turning into what your father became.
SHYLA
How?
DANIEL
You can’t use this anymore. It’s going to be bad. Trust me. But you don’t have to do this alone.
[Shyla walks to the end of the sarcophagus and picks up a staff weapon. Daniel joins her. She aims and fires, destroying the sarcophagus in a blue electrical storm. Daniel takes the staff weapon and hugs her.]
Thor's Chariot
EXT—CIMMERIAN ROAD
[SG-1 are now alone on the road. The Jaffa are gone. The destruction of the pyramids is complete and the encampment is empty. Behind the team, a light shines down and deposits Gairwyn on the road. Smiling, she walks up easily to the team.]
GAIRWYN
The Etins are gone. Thor sends his thanks. It was your help that made this possible.
DANIEL
Well, to be honest with you, I think we got kinda lucky.
GAIRWYN
He told me to give you a message to satisfy your curiosity. I'm to tell you he's a member of a species who have visited your world often. They are a friend to all, protector of all, except the Goa'uld, with whom they are at war.
O'NEILL
Well, that's very nice. But I'd still like to meet the old guy.
GAIRWYN
Well, he said that, like us, you're still much too young.
[SG-1 smile, knowingly.]
GAIRWYN
For us, there is still much to rebuild. Thor has promised to leave an Asgard teacher behind to help us.
TEAL'C
Then Cimmeria will be a safe world again. That is good.
GAIRWYN
Yes, it is. I'm to tell you that Thor's new Hammer will make an exception for the one called Teal'c. You are welcome here anytime.
[Their attention is drawn once again to the Asgard mothership in the sky.]
CARTER
Sir? Sir, I don't know if what we are about to try is a good idea or not, but you have the right to know. You might not survive it.
[Carter holds O'Neill's hand. He gives it a squeeze. She pulls out the IV to stop the medication. She backs up and joins Hammond and Teal'c behind the orb.]
CARTER
Okay, Teal'c.
[Teal'c raises his staff to fire at the orb. He fires and the energy goes through and O'Neill is shocked.]
CARTER
Again.
[Teal'c shoots and again the energy is absorbed.]
CARTER
We have to. Again.
[Teal'c fires the third shot and Carter runs to check on O'Neill.]
CARTER
No pulse.
[A few seconds later O'Neill's head comes up.]
O'NEILL/ALIEN
Good morning, campers.
[O'Neill's voice sounds different and his speech is slower. Hammond walks over to him.]
O'NEILL/ALIEN
This is truly a strange feeling.
CARTER
Colonel?
O'NEILL/ALIEN
Yes, he is here.
HAMMOND
Who else we are talking too?
O'NEILL/ALIEN
We are also here.
HAMMOND
My name is…
O'NEILL/ALIEN
Hammond, yes. O'Neill knows.
HAMMOND
Then you should also know we mean you no harm.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
You awoke us.
HAMMOND
We have only recently become aware of your existence.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
You would have returned us to our former world.
TEAL'C
We believed you were a threat to us.
DANIEL
We feared you.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
And your fear would have destroyed us. Millennia ago our world was dying. We could no longer live there. For this reason, we created the orb.
DANIEL
Where you slept for a hundred thousand years.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
Yes, Daniel.
DANIEL
Waiting for someone to come along, like us, and take you through the Stargate.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
So it was written on the orb. Once exposed to the atmosphere of a living world, we went forth
DANIEL
And multiplied.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
So it was written.
PA SYSTEM
Autoself destruct in four minutes.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
We can not go back.
HAMMOND
We can not allow you to stay.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
O'Neill feels this as well. However, you have allowed us no alternatives.
CARTER
General, we're almost out of time.
HAMMOND
This place, admittedly out of our ignorance, is about to be destroyed by an explosion.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
Such energy only serves to nourish us. We will multiple and consume your world.
HAMMOND
If you would allow us to restore our communications, we could stop that from happening. We would survive.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
O'Neill desires this as well. He wishes to live. But what of us?
DANIEL
P4G-881! It's primordial, lots of oxygen and sunlight. Like this world was a quarter of a billion years ago.
CARTER
Sir, we can't open the Stargate without the computers.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
You would send us there? Through your Stargate?
HAMMOND
We would.
O'NEILL/ALIEN
For what reason?
HAMMOND
So that we both may survive.
[O'Neill's head falls back with a little gasp.]
DANIEL
We'll take you there ourselves, Please!
[All the power is lost in the control room.]
DAVIS
Everything just shut down!
HAMMOND
God help us.
PA SYSTEM
Autoself destruct in two minutes.
The computers start to light back up again.
DAVIS
Sir, Sir…I think the computers are rebooting!
HAMMOND
Start dialing P4G-881 as soon as they are up.
DAVIS
Yes, sir.
[Carter and Hammond run into the control room as the stargate starts to dial.]
PA SYSTEM
Autoself destruct in one minute and thirty seconds.
[O'Neill's head comes back up.]
DAVIS
Chevron one engaged.
[The spike starts to remove itself from the wall and O'Neill.]
DAVIS
Chevron two engaged.
[O'Neill stands up]
DAVIS
Chevron three engaged.
[O'Neill steps down the ladder]
DAVIS
Chevron four engaged.
[O'Neill walks to the orb.]
DAVIS
Chevron five engaged.
PA SYSTEM
Autoself destruct in one minute.
[O'Neill places his hands on the orb and it starts to glow.]
DAVIS
Chevron six engaged.
[The orb continues to glow and the alien organism starts to retract into the orb along with the spikes.]
DAVIS
Chevron seven locked.
[O'Neill walks up the ramp with the orb in his hand]
PA SYSTEM
Autoself destruct in thirty seconds.
[O'Neill pushes the orb through the event horizon.]
PA SYSTEM
Twenty seconds.
[O'Neill collapses onto the ramp.]
PA SYSTEM
Ten. Nine.
[The Stargate disengages and Hammond and Carter start to type.]
PA SYSTEM
Four. Three. Two. One.
[Both codes were entered.]
PA SYSTEM
Autoself destruct aborted
[Carter runs to where Teal'c and Daniel are already with O'Neill at the ramp, helping him sit up.]
O'NEILL
Nice work.
TEAL'C
It is good to see you alive and well.
DANIEL
Welcome back, Jack.
CARTER
Thought you were gone for good, sir.
O'NEILL
Wild horses, Captain.
[The three of them help O'Neill walk down the ramp.]
Family
INT—SGC GATE ROOM
[Klaxons are blaring and the Stargate is active as Hammond stands at the Command console, his hand on the microphone. The team are in the Gate room.]
HAMMOND
Teal'c, you have a go!
DREY'AUC
(To the team)
I must thank you all again.
(She shakes hands with Carter)
I would very much like to stay and get to know you better.
DANIEL
Well, you wouldn't have much of a life here. You'd be virtual prisoners.
CARTER
But you're welcome in the Land of Light and Tuplo's waiting on the other side. They're good people.
O'NEILL
Yep, and they got tons of wide-open spaces where you can play and misbehave.
[He hands Rya'c a baseball glove.]
RYA'C
W-what is it?
[Rya'c puts the glove on his head like a hat, while the others look on, amused.]
O'NEILL
Well, I guess I'll have to come visit and explain a few things.
[O'Neill takes the hat off his head and puts a ball in it and places them both back in his hands.]
TEAL'C
(To O'Neill)
I shall return.
[O'Neill nods, and Teal'c and his family turn and walk through the gate and his friends look on. Fade to black.]
[Teal'c and Daniel enter the pyramid Gate room. Teal'c is still in Horus guard armor. He is pushing Daniel ahead of his as if he's his prisoner.]
TEAL'C
My lord!
[Heru'ur descends the stairs to the Stargate smugly.]
HERU'UR
Kel shak, Jaffa?
[Teal'c and Daniel move to stand before Heru'ur.]
TEAL'C
Kel shak, Heru-ur. The Serpent guards of Apophis have taken the child.
HERU'UR
(Examining Daniel)
Who is this human?
TEAL'C
He claims his people are the Tau'ri, enemies of Apophis.
HERU'UR
(With disbelief)
You? Among the warriors who defeated Apophis?
DANIEL
As a matter of fact, I was. The Tau'ri are stronger than you think. An alliance would prove extremely useful to both of us against our common enemy.
HERU'UR
(Amused)
Alliance? You are nothing. Your world is nothing. Once I have conquered Apophis, I will make slaves of your people. You will serve me.
DANIEL
No, I don't think so.
HERU'UR
(Irritated)
Kneel before your god!
[Daniel does not act immediately and Teal'c whacks Daniel on the back of the legs, and he falls to his knees.]
DANIEL
Uhh!
[Heru'ur regards him disgustedly. Holding out his ribbon device, he makes as if he's going to use it on Daniel when the Stargate begins to activate behind him.]
TEAL'C
My lord, the Stargate!
[Heru'ur turns to look upon the Gate.]
HERU'UR
Apophis comes, stand ready.
[Teal'c joins the other Horus guards to stand before the Stargate while Heru'ur stands by and watches Daniel. The vortex shoots in and Teal'c shoves the Horus guard next to him into it as Heru'ur watches. The Teal'c grabs his zat and shoots one of the guards. The last one shoot his staff at Teal'c and it appears to graze Teal'c shoulder. Teal'c raises his zat and shoots the last Horus guard but falls back against the wall. Heru'ur activates his personal shield, just as O'Neill and Carter emerge from the Stargate. They're a bit shocked at what they've stumbled upon.]
HERU'UR
(Holding up his ribbon device)
Tau'ri, kree!
O'NEILL
(O'Neill and Carter run for cover)
What the hell?
[They duck for cover near Teal'c, while Daniel jumps up and pushes away Heru'ur. As O'Neill and Carter are safe, Heru'ur strikes Daniel who falls to the fall.]
O'NEILL
Cover me!
[Carter stands and fires off her zat at the two stunned Horus guards. Another shot and both disintegrate. O'Neill comes out firing his weapon at Heru'ur whose personal shield prevents the bullets from penetrating. O'Neill stops firing his weapon, and Heru'ur is smug.]
HERU'UR
You dare challenge me?
[He raises his hand with the ribbon device and aims it at O'Neill.]
O'NEILL
I was thinking about it.
[He pulls a knife from its sheath and throws it into the palm of Heru-ur's hand, piercing the ribbon device and causing it to spark.]
HERU'UR
(In pain)
You will pay for this insolence!
[The Goa'uld activates the transport rings. They descend then take Heru'ur with them as they ascend again. Daniel is coming to his senses and Teal'c has deactivated his helmut.]
CARTER
Teal'c?
O'NEILL
Somebody explain to me what just happened?
TEAL'C
It is a lengthy tale, O'Neill.
O'NEILL
Long story, Teal'c.
[He goes over to see about Daniel. Teal'c and Carter follow him.]
CARTER
Good thing you remembered the shield's deflection capability's directly proportional to the amount of kinetic energy directed at it.
O'NEILL
(Looking at her as he gives Daniel a hand)
Right.
(To Daniel)
We should get out of here.
[The Stargate starts dialing up again. ]
DANIEL AND TEAL'C TOGETHER
Apophis
O'NEILL
(Incredulous)
What?
TEAL'C
We must cover ourselves.
[SG-1 duck behind cover. Momentarily, the Stargate engages. Two serpent guards emerge, followed by Apophis and five other Jaffa. Daniel and Teal'c, O'Neill and Carter watch from their hiding place.]
APOPHIS
Jaffa. Kel Amaunet.
AMAUNET
I am here, my pharoah.
[Amaunet enters the pyramid Gate room, elaborately dressed. Apophis joins her near the DHD.]
APOPHIS
(puzzled)
The child?
AMAUNET
Stolen, by your enemy, Heru-ur.
(bowing her head)
Forgive me, my pharoah, for failing you.
[Apophis appears angry, but gently touches her cheek as Daniel looks on.]
APOPHIS
Jaffa! Shal tek!
[A Jaffa goes back to dial the Gate and Amaunet stares directly at Daniel. Teal'c seems stunned that she's not said anything.]
APOPHIS
(Holding out his hand)
Come home with me, my queen.
[They begin to leave and Amaunet again looks directly at Daniel and continues on. O'Neill looks at Daniel as Apophis, Amaunet and their guards go through the Stargate. It soon disengages. SG-1 then emerge from their hiding places.]
CARTER
Sir, there's still a Goa'uld ship on top of us.
O'NEILL
Dial us home Captain, please.
[Carter dials the Gate. Daniel can only stare helplessly at the Gate.]
O'NEILL
(To Daniel)
You all right?
DANIEL
No. No, I'm not.
(To O'Neill)
But I will be.
TEAL'C
She looked directly at us, Daniel Jackson, yet she did not reveal our position.
[The GDO beeps—the iris code is sent.]
O'NEILL
(A hand on Daniel's shoulder)
Let's go home.
[He moves on, and Teal'c also lays a hand on Daniel, then moves to the Stargate followed by Carter. After a moment, Daniel follows.]
Bane
INT—ABANDONED BUILDING
[Ally is playing "cop" in the building with her water gun. She sneaks around a corner and is surprised to see Daniel and a fully-recovered Teal'c standing there. Teal'c is smiling warmly at her.]
ALLY
Teal'c!
[Taking off her sunglasses excitedly, she runs up to him.]
ALLY
Hi!
TEAL'C
(Grinning.)
Greetings, Ally.
ALLY
You're okay.
TEAL'C
(giving a slight nod)
Thanks to you I am feeling much better.
ALLY
Aw, man, it was no sweat. You look way better. I guess you can't really tell me what happened…all that top-secret, James Bond stuff, right?
TEAL'C
That is correct. To show my gratitude, I have brought you a new weapon.
[Teal'c holds up a huge Super-Soaker water gun, and Ally gasps, her eyes practically pop out of her head.]
TEAL'C
One with increased range and firepower.
ALLY
Wicked! This is so cool! Have any time to play?
DANIEL
Uh…actually we—
[A large stream of water suddenly blasts Teal'c in the chest as Ally pulls the trigger on her new toy. Teal'c slowly looks down at the wet spot on his chest while a musing Daniel wipes a little water out of his own eye, which had been hit by some of the splash. Ally giggles and runs off.]
DANIEL
Guess we shouldn't have loaded it, huh?
[Teal'c pulls out some sunglasses and puts them on, while Daniel wipes away more water on his face. Teal'c then turns to Daniel.]
TEAL'C
How else could she defend herself?
[Teal'c then turns his water gun on Daniel and fires point-blank range into Daniel's chest. Daniel gasps lightly at the shock of the cold water on his chest as Teal'c takes off down the hall after Ally.]
DANIEL
(Dryly.)
How else?
[Daniel wipes his eye again, then pulls his tee-shirt away from his chest and flaps it rapidly, shaking out the water.]
The Tok'ra, part 1
INT—TOK'RA TUNNELS—COUNCIL CHAMBERS
[They walk into the Council Chambers escorted by guards. It's like the other rooms, but it has a large, shiny table in it. ]
GARSHAW
This Chamber is newly grown. Until now we had no reason to convene the Council of Tok'ra.
CARTER
So this is some sort of accelerated crystal growth?
GARSHAW
That is correct. We have learned to pattern the natural tendencies of the crystal.
CARTER
Like a geode.
GARSHAW
People of the Tau'ri, allow me to introduce the Grand Council of the Tok'ra.
[The Council consists of Cordesh and five other more colourfully clothed people. ]
O'NEILL
Hiya folks, nice to meetcha.
DANIEL
Uh, we're very grateful. We're representatives of a planet called Earth.
TEAL'C
It is an honour.
CORDESH
The council has reviewed your proposal of an alliance between our peoples.
CARTER
And?
FEMALE TOKRA
We would like you to understand our situation. We are an illegal resistance group within the Goa'uld. We are the most hunted, most hated enemies of the System Lords.
O'NEILL
Hey, we haven't made too many friends along the way either.
TEAL'C
The secrets of the Tok'ra would never be revealed. It is not the way of the Tau'ri.
CORDESH
Not intentionally. But you might be followed to us, you might be tortured into revealing our whereabouts or a spy might be introduced into your midst.
FEMALE TOK'RA
We would like to know what you have to offer us that is of sufficient value to justify our exposure.
O'NEILL
Well, I think we've got a lot of things.
TEAL'C
The Tau'ri have become quite advanced.
DANIEL
I'm sure we have something you could use.
GARSHAW
Please, give us an example.
O'NEILL
Sure. Daniel.
DANIEL
Er, well, I mean, after all, we…we have the same goals in mind.
CARTER
Perhaps there's some technology that could be of use.
CORDESH
Technology other than our own is useless to us. We are infiltrators. We work from within the Goa'uld. Therefore it is important that we appear to be Goa'uld.
[Another Tok'ra enters the Chamber and whispers to Garshaw. ]
GARSHAW
(Angrily)
Bring them in!
(To SG-1)
What are your people planning?
O'NEILL
Beg your pardon?
GARSHAW
The Chaapa-ai just activated, and brought forth these!
[SG-3 are led in weaponless and looking sheepish.]
CARTER
SG-3.
O'NEILL
Colonel Makepeace? What are you doing here?
MAKEPEACE
General Hammond sent us to extract Captain Carter.
CARTER
Why?
MAKEPEACE
I'm afraid it's your father, Captain. He's in the hospital in a serious condition.
O'NEILL
You have to let her go home.
GARSHAW
I'm sorry, I cannot do that.
O'NEILL
Why not?
GARSHAW
I'm afraid we have made our decision. We have decided not to accept your request for an alliance.
CORDESH
Therefore you shall be our guests until such time as we decide to move to another planet.
O'NEILL
What?
GARSHAW
I'm sure you understand with your knowledge of this planet, you have become a security risk. We cannot allow you to leave until we have moved somewhere else that you do not know about.
DANIEL
Well surely as Tok'ra you're more compassionate than that? Captain Carter's father is dying, I mean at least let her go.
CORDESH
She is the highest risk of all. She contains the memory of Jolinar of Malk-shur.
TEAL'C
We are not the only ones who have knowledge of this planet. Those we left behind on the Tau'ri also possess this knowledge.
O'NEILL
As evidenced by our friends here.
[Indicating SG-3.]
GARSHAW
It is our wish that your lack of return will convince them that we are Goa'uld and not Tok'ra.
DANIEL
You want them to think that we're dead.
O'NEILL
Well that kinda sucks.
GARSHAW
I'm sorry. We will try to make you as comfortable as possible.
