Does anyone know what that "gun" was that mitchell used in 914? (most recent ep of sg1) it didn't quite look like a grenade launcher, or sound like one, but did as much damage.

Looked like an automatic shotgun to me.

It was the Striker Shotgun.

Although it did appear to have explosive ammunition when he attacked the jaffa strongpoint .

DAO-12 Striker combat shotgun. It's a South African designed rapid fire shotgun. Not a particulary good one either compared to other ones out there.

Out of interest, Apollo used one in the Battlestar Galactica episode 'Home' (they were passing them off as grenade launchers though). And if anyone has played Battlefield 2, the DAO-12 is the AT class' unlock.

haha, I wouldn't be loading them into a Striker... It has enough problems feeding ammo as it is. I wouldn't want one getting jammed and exploding in the weapon

hmmm, see that different to the one they used when the replicators took hold of the sgc in....season 8 i think, yeh, last 4 eps or something.

They were USAS-12 Automatic Shotguns

If I remember correctly, I think Jack was using a Striker for a short time in Reckoning Pt. 2 when they made their last stand against the Replicators outside the gate room.

During this time Jack had a grenade launcher, followed by a p-90. The officer who he was with did have an autoshotgun, though.
