Wow, I didn't know that movie was made by Peter Jackson. Isn't that interesting?

Yes, it is very interesting. He even makes a cameo appearance in the movie.

I loved this movie so much that only after seeing the last half on TV i immediately bought it on DVD the next day. I think what really makes the film is the element of dark humour throughout.
Also interesting is that John Astin (plays the ghost of the judge) is Sean Astin's father. Sean Astin took the role in Lord of the Rings after his father said how good Peter Jackson was to work with.

I'd seen the movie long before LOTR and thought the Reaper was a very scary creation. And then they perfected it for the Ringwraiths.

And Peter Jackson's dark humour is one of the things that I find so appealing about him.

I think the poster was scarier than the movie
