What would happen if we made a ship outerpart fully of kull armor? there would be no need for shields and the wraith weapons wouldnt scuff the ship

It would not be done probably for the same reason they don't make tanks out of diamond. -

Why not have both?
I would feel safer knowing something isn't going to impact the hull, im sure most ships projectiles and energy weapons would do a fair amount of damage to that armour anyway, plus you still have the kinetic force to deal with and im sure no one wants to be knocked about that much.Comment

honestly, the kull armor is crap.
Especialy against kinetic weapons.
The show just wanked it up so it didn't even get thrown back by the impact of a large caliber bullet. And that is something that does not happen when the walking kull warrior is hit realisticly.

The kull warriors armor is rounded so the bullet would be deflected, so not much of the energy of the bullet would be transfered to them.
OnT: A hole ship made of the armor would still need a shield for the impact weapons.Comment

Kull warrios have been hit by P90's.m16's,heavy machine guns,C4,shields,staff weapons,zats and rockets and nothin has penetrated there armorComment

The armour itself doesn't protect againest Kinetic weapons (i.e. P90), only from Energy weapons. The Armour is placed on top of a super kevlar substance to stop bullets and alike. Or this is what i understande it to be.
That would never work, I'm sure that if the hull was struck by a Naquadah enhanced Nucklear Warhead i'm sure it would give way in some way.Comment

My guest we might have already seen a ship which use some sort of energy absorbing hull. The wraith hive ships, that would explain why the wraith would not shields, just a guest mind you. But remember the kull armour survive every thing the sg1 threw at.Comment

Aye, but the Kull armor is a close synthetic kevlar type armour, in space, for one, it wouldn't be air-tight. Everyone would die from exposure to hard vacuum.
Second. There is NO idea how much synthetic enegy could be absorbed by it.
Third. geeze, that couldn't hold didly, unless, now, unless, you're going to lace the outside of the hull with the fiber, of say, an already trinium hull, THEN you might have something.
But it would really be how well the synthetic leather could absord the punishment thrown at it.Comment

Well in couple of shots of hive vessels the purple hull seem to be covering somthing else. Also they just need a inner seal hull, then put the armour over that. Also the wraith version of the armour could be different what anubis was able to construct.Comment
