Who here is a fan of "Heavy Metal", the movie?

I didn't like the 2nd one. I was like the how the first one was a collection of stories tied together by a common thread.

2nd one was crap but the original is great!

great music, great stories and great animation.

i can fly stoned man!

the actor list that did the voices is great.

Capt Stern is my fave sketch.

I love Heavy Metal. I also thought the second one was lousy. But the first was great. I loved the sketch with the pilot fighting the undead. The glowing green orb of evil was cool. The only thing I thought was incredibly freaky was the woman getting it on with the robot. It was a funny scene, but really bizarre. And I think she wanted a Jewish wedding? Strange.

The music was great as well. Definitely a cool film.

I remember back around this time a few movies were made similar to Heavy Metal. I remember seeing them late night on HBO or Showtime, but I never got the names of the movies and never bothered to record them.

I remember one I saw that I like a lot more than either of the Heavy Metal movies. I still remember it somewhat after 20 years and would love to see it again. But sadly Heavy Metal is the only movie of that era of Scifi animation that seems to still be around.
