How about it? How would it work as a plot thread? Some injection that prevents symbiotes from taking people as hosts.

Seems like something that would make an ultimate weapon and end the series. Do you think SG1 can function without a bad guy? It would be just traveling to worlds, meeting people and subplots. Does the show need the threat of Earth's annialation to remain popular?

I wouldnt mind seeing a season entire following the defeat of the Goa'uld showing the new status quo and developments related as so. There will always be something happening somewhere. Am I the only one?

Seeing that there are billions of potential hosts I don't think it would mean that much if one planet gets a vaccine. Remember, there are already one human population that's immune to Goa'ulds.

The only way it would work is if the Asgard decides to do a massvaccination of the galaxy.

If the vaccine is simply a protein that makes the symbiotes die, then it's easy. Load it into a cold virus and start dialing worlds and launching bio weapons....
