What was your favourite Season 7 episode, and why?

That's a tough one. I voted for Fragile Balance because I really, really enjoy it every time I watch it. Of course Heroes and Lost City were also excellent eps; do you think we should pull them together and list them only as one ep each? In that case my vote would go to Heroes instead of FB.

well, I thought about that but it was kind of difficult. Perhaps when we've finished voting we could put the two scores together?

I don't know if that'll work. As I said Heroes only didn't get my vote because it's listed as two eps, so even if you put the scores together after voting they will still not have mine.
And yes, before anyone feels the need to point this out, of course my vote isn't any more important than others', this is just an example to illustrate my point.

It would be Heroes for me. If I had to pick one of the 2 it would be part 2. Everyone just acted their little hearts out in that episode.

hard to choose between Fragile Balance and Heroes Part 1.
In the end I went for Heroes, because I thought the other SG team (and Colonel Dixon in particular) were spot on

I eventually went with "Lifeboat", mainly because I found the idea of using the brain as a kind of organic hard-drive interesting.

Heroes Part 1 is funny
Heroes Part 2 perhaps one of the best SG-Eps ever
and Lost City Part 1/2 are the best ever ;)
I voted Lost City Part 1, just because its better than part 2.

I voted for Heroes Part 2. I actually liked the whole thing. Only Abyss beats it for my all time favorite episodes. The Innauguration LC 1+2 arc is very high on my list as well. Good story telling. A return to Gate at its very best IMHO

That was a toughie. My vote went to Lost City p2. It had that movie-like quality to it. Coming in second place was Heroes p1&2. They both were such awesome episodes.

I voted for Lifeboat, It has the things I most value in SciFi - ethical quandries and a real science fiction premise, and it makes me cry, every single time and that happens very rarely.

I really can't decide, i used to like Avenger 2.0 but after repeated viewing it seems to lose its charm.
I also dislike most of the eps everyone else seemed to enjoy "Heros Pt 2" just didn't flow right for me, and the sky blurb that said "a mission goes tragically wrong" for part 1 heros led to me not enjoying as much as i could. I also find LC pt 2 disappointing uncomplete.
So basically i can't make my mond up enough to vote. :(

Struggled to make my mind up there between all the 2 parters. Had to go for the lost city in the end though, just loved the Jack/Teal'c and Jack/Sam moments in it. Also, the Fifth Race is my favourite episode and much of it's mirrored in lost city.

My vote was for "Grace". IMO, with each viewing a different interpretation can be reached. It was an excellent exploration of the Sam character. Plus, it was the episode that brought me to GateWorld.:)

Tough decision between Heroes and Lost City... However I enjoyed the action in Heroes much more than I did in the Lost City. So I picked Heroes...

Very tough decisoin here... Lost City or Heroes? Two VERY good episodes IMO in the end however I voted for Heroes becuase it went from light hearted and funny to completely serious and poignant two of the major things that I think of when I think of Stargate at it's best.

Grace. Just saw it on Sky for a second time yesterday and it was still just as good, if not better.
Lost City was brilliant also. Definitely my fave out of the action oriented eps in Stargate

I voted for Lost City. That two-parter was just so great. It almost felt like the main story archs of the entire series had been building to it, culminating with this great climax. On top of that, it had everything which makes Stargate so great as far as standard episodes go as well: Great humor, great character moments, great visual effects, great action... And what a rush! Has there ever been a Stargate episode containing so much sheer excitement? Full Circle is the only one that comes to mind, but even that one can't touch Lost City.

I had to go with Lost City for this one. I was on the edge of my seat throughout Part 2 especially. I thought the effects were great, the action, the story line, everything. Heroes was good, too, though I think it lost its effect for me because I knew what was going to happen. I completely avoided spoilers for Lost City, and I loved it.
Also, I love episodes about the Ancients, and The Fifth Race is my favorite episode of all time. I was thrilled they picked the story line back up.

I liked Resurrection and the idea of the Goa'uld-human hybrid. I liked the bittersweet ending too.
Loved Osiris and Daniel in Chimera aswell.
Enjoyed the twist in Fall Out with the Goa'uld who wasn't completly self-seeking.
I can't really point out a favourite episode.

Didn't like the Lost City for it's hype. Thought the special effects detracted from the storyline. The bit at the end where Daniel thinks that this is just an outspost makes the whole season a waste of time really.

For me it was a choice between "Grace", "Heroes, part 2", and "The Lost City", parts 1 and 2. *I really enjoyed the emotion and the character development.
"The Lost City" felt like the movie it was originally, intended to be. It had emotion, intimate, little moments, intrigue, and a lot of very good special effects. I enjoyed each character in the show getting their moment. I also enjoyed the traditional references to "The Simpsons", and Teal'c's donuts. I really enjoyed the quark joke. This show respects it's viewers' intelligence!
Sure, there were bits that could have been better. I was disturbed that O'Neill kept everyone waiting in the opening scene. It seemed out of character. I thought it was odd that we were hearing about an aircraft carrier being destroyed rather than seeing it, but then, how much money did they have to spend? Overall, I thought the 2 part episode was very emotional, and grand.
This would have made a good theatrical release. I showed it to a group of about 20 people, of which only a few had seen "Stargate SG1" previously. I was surprised how enthusiastic they were to see part 2.
So, my opinion is that overall "The Lost City, parts 1 and 2" had the most of what makes 'Stargate SG1" a great show.

TLC1&2 for me won due to it having ALL the elements I like about Stargate. Humor, Action, The Gate, Battle, Alien fun stuff , The Team, a Sam & Jack moment. Loved Hammond in this as well

I, too had a hard time deciding. Inauguration has a great Prez, Heroes, well, just because, Grace for the acting. I finally decided on Lost City - has all of the good elements of writing and acting plus special effects. :D

I finally went for Enemy Mine, but it had some definite competition. Fragile Balance, Orpheus, Lifeboat and Birthright were all way up there. Heroes featured some of the best acting in the season, especially from the guest stars and Michael Shanks, and most of Lost City had a real team feel to it, that I missed in many of the episodes.
In the end though, it had to be Enemy Mine, both for the best Jack and Daniel scenes of the season and for being a real Stargate episode; exploring a new world through the Stargate, a moral dilemma with no easy answer and revisiting a favourite character and race from previous seasons.

I voted for Fragile Balance. Everytime I watch it I have to laugh. It had everyone in it. The relationships were cool. The way Sam and Teal'c acted with Young Jack. Also Michael Welch is my favorite actor and he played Jack so well. I also loved a lot of the other episodes. If I hadn't voted for Fragile Balance it would have been The Lost City Part 2 or Heroes Part 2. It was a tough decision to make because I love every episode for different reasons.

So many brilliant episodes this season but I had to choose Heroes. I was edging towards Lost City at first cause I still don't like what TPTB decided to in Heroes but it was still a brilliant ep and anything that can make me cry is definately good.

Of course, the Lost City was a great episode. The storyline and effects were pretty good for a single television show episode. It was pretty cool when all those little destorying 'bug' things come out of the ground and went up to Anubis and wiped him out. Pretty cool
Heroes was a great episode. It was a shame to kill of Frasier but the whole storyline was placed together well. Espically when it hangs you in suspense and it looks like O'Neill is the one that dies. Clever
Evolution would be picked as my second favourite from season seven. The device they found was pretty cool since that guy didn't die when he was shot like a hundred times. The super-soldier base was cool also

I hate to admit it but I didn't enjoy this season quite as much as season six, or five, or four, or three....
It was still outstanding though, the best scifi show around.
I think there were some low points, like "Grace" and "Revisions" and there were some disappointing eps that had been built up to like "Heroes," which was excellent, but would have been better if it wasnt for the spoilers.
"Lost City" was great, and a great ending!
"Death Knell" rocked although it would have been better to see even more of Sam.
So, there were some great eps, and some okay eps, but overall, I think, another wonderful season.
Blows the competition away every time. :D

This is another tough one...it is just so hard to decide. I loved so many episodes. But I voted for Grace because I love Sam and I love how it explores more of her character. Plus the Sam and Jack kiss (even if it was a dream within a hallucination) was great :).
But The Lost City Parts 1 and 2 are a close second because they were just 2 excellent episodes. And Heroes part 2 as well. It made me cry so much!
See, I told you it was hard to pick just one ;).

I voted for 'Grace'. Can't get enough. I keep watching and watching. The score music behind the entire ep is fabulous. Love Sam talking to Daniel, Sam talking to Teal'c, Sam talking to her father, Sam talking to Jack, Grace wondering around Prometheus. This ep really got me, what else can I say?
I also really enjoyed Heroes, specially Part 2. The battle scene is one of the best directions i've ever seen on Stargate. Absolutely brilliant!
Overall, I really loved Season 7. Just for the record I'm crazy about the number '7'. Is this a coincidence? Perhaps :p

I liked Fragile Balance, Heroes and Lost City but I voted for Lost City. Lost City was fast paced and it resonated like the earlier SG1 episodes, eg The Fifth Race, Serpent's Lair and Maternal Instinct (remember the power of the Ancients/Oma). Cool ending. And I was very impressed with Dr. Weir.

I voted for Grace. That is about the only SG episode that I watched three times in a row because I had the feeling that I had always missed something important. I like it when I don't understand everything in the first viewing of an episode/a movie because then I can rewatch it more often without it getting boring too fast.

I voted for Orpheus in the end, but it was a close run thing with Fragile Balance. Micheal Welch just made that episode for me with his superb portrayal of Young Jack (and I must admit to being absolutely hypnotised by the length of his eyelashes!!). In the end though, I think Orpheus wins out, because I like the pacing of the story, the flow of it and the progression from beginning to end. I like the fact that there is no A and B plot that seem completely unrelated and no clumsy cutting between the two. I love the way the Daniel/Teal'c relationship was developed, I love the return of 'good commander O'Neill who stopped wisecracking long enough for a change to make me actually believe that he was a Colonel with some tactical experience and leadership skills. That and the fact that it was the only episode of the entire season that tried to make some reference to Daniel's previous life as a glowy octopus. And Breatac was in it, which always garners brownie points from me.

Decisions, decisions! In the end I went for for Fragile balance 'cos it's just an all round fab ep, even if it is a mostly RDAless Jack episode. Michael Welch was terrific, it's almost scary how good he was at being Jack!
Other eps I would've gone for had I not had to make a decision would be Heroes *sniffle*, Inauguration(very surprising how good it is considering it's a clip show) & Lost City.

This season was well below par, i don't know if it was the spoilers(stop it Gateworld) or just it wasn't as generally exciting as the others.
Take Heros pt1 & 2 for example yes it was touching but I don't care I wanted a better story than that like Lost city is what kept me watching that season :D

The second half of season 7 had quite a few great episodes (i.e. Heroes, parts 1 and 2, Grace, Death Knell) but I had to go for Lost City because it really blew me away.
You can see why it was going to be the next movie! It had a very cinematic quality to it and it was just so damn exciting especially the last half of part two.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. The woman who played Dr. Weir (can't remember her name!) was great. Pity she didn't want to do Atlantis.

Voted for Lost City. Why? For the simple reason that even after watching the eps at least 6 times, that I can remember, I still get goose bumps when the x-302's and the x-303 come to save the day. Also, I still get an all over warm feeling (and yes I'm sure that I'm not in a pool :p ) when I see Bratac smile as he watches the energy weapon of the ancients defeating the death gliders.

Your right, the lady who took over the SGC is a great actor (what show was she from?) I would love to see more of her. Heroes Part 2 or Lost City part 2 hmmm. The one that I enjoyed watching the most is The Lost City Part 2 but the one that will stay in my mind out of All the Stargate episodes will be Heroes Part 2.
Man...that was so realistic and something I have never seen on TV because when people are usually out in the open like that in dangerous territory you think that something is wrong but the show usually make everything ok in the end but not this time. The Camera wasn't even directly on her and was out of focus but that energy beam hit her and Daniel turned the camera and there she was on the ground and that was it. I couldn't stop thinking about that episode for days, it really got to me. It just makes you wonder why we Humans go to war when people die like that.

can't choose!!! wail!!!! it's easier to choose the one I hated - but I loved so many of them! I went with Grace in the end because it was out of the ordinary for SG1, that kind of character exploration in that way - and because I love the Sam character. Lifeboat was a close second just because of MS's acting.... yes I cried! and Fragile balance was adorable... and then there were the "classics"...... lots of lovely SFX... so it was a close call for me.

I don't think season seven was bad enough not to tune into season eight. There were some poor episodes, but there is in every season, at least two or three are really poor. The main problem was the lack of Jack. We all know that the final episode of a season is really good, but it does need a build-up sequence

Hmm, no offense but my opinion is the opposite.
The lack of Jack wasn't an issue to me, it was the way he was used in only "ship" scenes and not as well acting as the earlier seasons.
To me, I'm greatly disappointed in season 7 and how things have developed. Judging from the spoilers I've heard about more ship and less team, I'm not sure I'm gonna watch season 8 at all.

I chose "Lifeboat"
It's my character/actor allegiences coming to play and I think my signature says it all really - and also why I didn't consider "Heroes" or "The Lost City." They were both good episodes, but I'm still trying to pretend that "Heroes, Part 2" didn't happen.
And "Lifeboat"... wow. Teryl just blew me away in it. I knew she was good, but I saw that and... just wow. She made that story for me, and it's an episode I can quite happily throw in the DVD player at any time, which helps mark it down as a favourite. And it's pretty much the only episode in Season 7 for which I can do that

"The Lost City, Part I and II", followed by "Heroes, Part I and II", followed by "Lifeboat" and then "Evolution, Part I and II". To be honest I think it'd have been cool if the people inside Daniel left some sort've future scars in him... sort've like what they did with Chiana in Farscape with this energy creature in the third year, having long-term effects later on. Wouldn't it be cool to see Daniel spazzing out in a Season 8 Episode, everyone thinking it involves the main plot, then somehow re-incorporating the "Lifeboat" plot because he has some wounds open up emotionally from someone that was inside him? It could, like, compel him to do something terrible, because the person was a serial killer, or something. I'd love it.

I voted for the The Lost City as it was one of the best season finales ever made in a television show I think.
Everything about it was big - as you would expect for a season finale and this also sets up the new spin-off which continues the Stargate series onto a whole new level and adventures.

There were a lot of good episodes in Season 7 like Ressurection and there were some bad episodes in season 7, like Grace... which totally sucked. But my favorite was probably Orpheus. It had the most action.

My vote is for Lost City because there was a lot of things going on, plus the fact that it had an ending (the struggle against Anubis,) and it left us wanting something for next season with the "What about O'neill" cliffhanger.

For me it's hard to pick just one so it would have to be a tie between Heros and Lost city.
Heros, because this EP had a huge scope all the people being interviewed showing how they run the place and then the chaos with the rescue mission it was just a great episode and who could for get chevron guy.
The Lost city EP was just awesome Sg1 looking for the city, jack going crazy and Anubis is going to attack this is big. But for me the thing that makes this episode one of the best is the last 10 min or so; we finally get to see what the prometheus is make of, the scene where Bra'tac says incoming ships and they are not Goa'uld then the X303's along with the prometheus do battle with the Goa'uld ships that was Awesome.

Wise choice despite you didn't really choose! Yeah, they were the best eps of season seven, and I certainly rate Evolution, very high.

Amidst the wasteland of Season 7, Orpheus rose above the ashes and continued the most compelling and perhaps longest running storyline still on Stargate. Teal'c/Ryac scenes were great as they've always been and Daniel's Ancient-vision was, unfortunately, one of the few clues we ever got in Season 7 that something big had actually happened to him.

Lost City was the greatest Stargate episode yet. The action, the suspense, and yes, there was humor, was absolutely fantastic! Only one other thing could have made it more perfect *spoiler, highlight to read*The part where that Jaffa who volunteered the cargo ship to transport SG-1 and Bra'tak to that world attacked Bra'tak and said that Bra'tak chose wrong in choosing against Anubis, I believe his words were"...for betraying your one true god, Anubis." A small part of me was so wanting him to say "Apophis". In my opinion, that would have made this thing just a little more perfect, bringing back the most personal enemy they've had yet. Ok, who else thought, just for a millisecond that that was going to happen?
Other then that, this is their most perfect episode. How many parts were part of this? I think five? (counting in these two, inauguration and the season premiere of season eight)

:d You don't need spoiler stuff for S7 in the S7 folder. (Just dont put spoilers in the title.) And yes while that line would have been cool and might have might more sense considering they both has Apophisis' serpent mark, Apophsis should stay dead they really can't plausbly ressurect him now.
If they did have that line it would have been could to then have Bra'tac's line while stabbing him to be:
Apophisis is dead *stab* as are you, young fool.

This was a hard one to chose. They are all great episodes. In the end i voted 'Grace'. In this one, Sam has a chance to think things over, about her live and about Jack. Although it is all in her mind, she wasnt thinking with her heart. We all know that they both love one another but they both can't doing any thing about it cause of the regs. Also in this episode we see a diffrent side to Jack. He was starting to show his emotional side that we have hardly seen over the years. He misses Sam and worried about her. He was releaved in the end when she was in the imfermery at the end. Jack was with her the whole time since she arrive there. At lest he knows how to cheer her up and make her smile. Sam always knows that he is there when she wakes up, cause he is the first one to see when she opens her eyes and call his name 'Jack'.

I like the way Daniel plays the different characters and you can see how Good an actor he is (would like to see him on Stage)
I HATED the commentary  Peter Deluise was completly off topic.
Hero's was good also, I agree about Acting they hearts out in Part 2
and Lost City part 2 or Lost City (whatever).. When the President fires Kinsey http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/clap2.gif but also where Jack put his arm on Teal'c and just looks at him http://smilies.sofrayt.com/^/aiw/sad.gif

Can I say OMG that was such a hard decision to make. I know a lot of people bag on season 7 and don't think that it was much good, but i think the fact that I and it seems many others had such a hard time deciding highlights the many merits of the show in its 7th year.
I was really stuck between a few episodes in particular, and I'm gonna go through them below before I say my final choice.
1. Fallen - Daniel returns - what more can I say? NUDE! A great build up episode and a welcome return to the quippy remarks between Daniel and Jack. I didn't like the fact that some of the cut scenes were actually very good and should have been included. We missed more on Daniel's felings as to what he had done, and all of his fears.
2. Homecoming - a solid second episode and it was nice to see Jonas and Daniel working together and I loved the F302 sequence with Jack and sam. My most niggling complaint about this episode however, was the length of time it took Daniel to move when he was being aimed at as he tried to get the crystal - the action shot shoudl have been faster.
3. Lifeboat - Obviously love the Daniel episoes, but i thought it was great to see all of these different characters. It was also nice to see what the characters really looked like and sounded like and how he effectively mimicked them. I also loved that Janet got a good outing in this episode. I didn't like the fact that Farren, in the end was simply there to serve the purpose of getting all the consciousnesses out of Daniel.
4. Heroes - everyone loves heroes and with good reason. No matter how many tmes I watch it I still cry when we find out Janet dies and everyone's reactions. It was also nice to be in the field with a team other than SG1 and to see things from an outsiders perspective. What I didn't like - Janet dying! I know it served a purpose and made it more real to lose someone so important, but I still miss her!
5. Lost City - great action, touching moments with Jack and his team, Kinsey gets booted, Anubis attacks and the Ancient outpost that helped give us Atlantis. The only thing I didn't like: Elizabeth Weir. Though I didn't think much of Torri Higginson at the mo, Jessica Steen did absolutely nothing for me.
So final conclusion was Fallen and although i loved all of the other episodes I listed, I cannot help but wonder if any of these would have been as good if the little doctor hadn't returned. NUDE!!

After much deliberation, I picked Heroes 1&2. There were several episodes in this Season that I thought were not up to scratch, but I can remember being really touched by this one the first time I saw it. The Lost City eps were a great finale to the season, but for me Heroes just swung it.
Thanks to Sky - we already knew one of the main characters was going to die, but did not expect it to be Janet. I thought she was a great character and the team's reactions to her death were very moving.

Difficult decision, but I went for Lost City 1 & 2, just for the sheer scale of Pt 2 & the team vibe, which is often missing these days. I just love that "uncomfortable, yet comfortable" thing they've got between them - I loved the scenes at O'Neill's house, & also the scene between O'Neill & Teal'c in the Alkash; it brought a lump to my throat.
I really like these polls, as they make you think back over the eps & remember how great the show is. Yes, maybe it's got it's faults, but it really is my favourite, favourite show of all time. So many great moments.

Ok... Many have said Season Seven was just garbage... but I do not agree... my opinion tho... But anyway.... the season did have some weaknesses... but also many strengths. The best episodes of the season tho has to be the below listed ones.
Fallen
Homecoming
Fragile Balance
Orpheus
Lifeboat
Evolution Parts 1 & 2
Death Knell
Heroes Part 1 & 2
Inaguration
and best of all Lost City.
These episodes are clearly the ones that effect our characters the most, move forward the stargate universe, and just have the best character moments. But i finally voted Orpheus, because I just love those Teal'c episodes... such emotion and great Teal'c/Rya'c/Bra'tac moments... with also team interaction aswell! But its really a draw between all of those above.. for me anyway.

lost city :D without any doubt or hesitation :)
for one thing, it felt more epic than any other episode of the series (comes with the was-gonna-be-movie territory :D), the story was great with a great pay-off for the anubis taking over the galaxy storyline :D and the music was AWESOME!! best of the series :) i really want them to make a sountrack, but alas, i know it can never be.. :o
but most of all, this IS the episode that got me into stargate... i'd seen random eps but always thought they were boring... then i caught (entirely on accident) the end of part 1!! needless to say i was relieved that i caught the reairing and saw the whole thing!!! this in turn ended up with me ASKING to go down to my dad's house (for the cable) the next weekend just to watch the second half :D i've been hooked ever since :)
and i have to say this is the FIRST "got me hooked" episode of ANY series that i rewatch after seeing the whole series so far and STILL thinking it's one of the best!!! :)

Odd how Fallen and Homecoming aren't listed together yet the other two-parters are.
Umm... ok. I'll go with... uhh... it's hard. I mean, Season 7 was terrible, but still had a number of extremely good episodes. The problem was Season 7 wasn't a lack of good episodes but more to do with the fact that the bad episodes were really bad episodes, not just lacklustre.
So... umm... Homecoming... or Grace... Homecoming or Grace. Grace.
Grace it is.
[EDIT]: I'd also like to extend a giant thankyou to the members of Gateworld. No one voted for *spits* Space Race *spits*. I don't have to hunt down and kill anyone now! ;)

Going with the majority again with Lost City. I love the way that Hammond got to see some action in this one and the effects were great as always. I also enjoyed the whole balance between politics and action. This show really did well to keep it so balanced without tipping the scale too much in either direction.

There were a bunch of episodes that I really liked this season, Lifeboat, Heroes, Lost City, but I put my vote for Enemy Mine. I loved seeing Daniel be able to be an anthropologist. I vote The Lost City 1 & 2! I mean....it's was amazing! I was glued to the TV. It was like watching a full feature movie on TV! The VFX! The dogfight over Antarctica between the F302s and Gliders was the best! I love how the team worked together to save Earth and save Jack. Even...Anubis was pretty cool in this 2-parter. Then....of course President Hayes firing Kinsey was just icing on the cake. :D

I think I'm the only one out here who wasn't all that impressed with Lost City. I mean, it was a good two-parter... I just don't see what was so "amazing" about it. But it always gets high marks in polls, so apparently it's just me. Maybe it's because the first time I saw Lost City, I didn't know all of the backstory (I'd only seen bits and pieces of season 7, and re-runs from previous seasons), so my first impression was kinda tainted. :S
Either way, I voted for Homecoming. :) The Fallen/Homecoming two-parter is one of my favorites.

I've realized that I preface each post in the polls with 'it's so hard to pick, there are so many excellent episodes'. ;) This season is no exception. I picked 'Lifeboat', because the acting was so superb, but it wasn't easy.
Fallen (the joy of Daniel's return and his struggle to feel part of things), Homecoming (the great and fleeting camradrie between Daniel and Jonas), Heroes (very well done and utterly heartwrenching), Lost City (just... wow!), and so many more were also right up there for me.

Very good to great:
Fallen
Homecoming
Orpheus
Lifeboat
Evolution pt1
Evolution pt2
Chimera
Heroes pt1

Lost City pt1
Lost City pt2
Good:

Fallout
Enemy Mine
Death Knell

Average:
Space Race
Grace

Not So Good:

Chimera (it's here and not lower only for the Daniel part)
Not So Good:

A mixed bag for me. Also, it was very Carter heavy (so I guess if you're big into Carter then you loved it, but I wanted some more out of the other characters). Aside from Lost City, Fragile and Evolution, Jack wasn't given much to do besides disappear during important moments (Fallout!). It had its fair share of great episodes, but overall, I was pretty disappointed.

I find S7 to be one of the best in Stargate, only beaten by S4.
Great eps like:
Evolution pt1
Evolution pt2
Heroes pt1
Heroes pt2
Lost City pt1
Lost City pt2
Grace
Orpheus
Lifeboat (MS did a great job in this one, but the reason I love this ep is TR's performance *fangurls*)
Death Knell
Homecoming
Fallen
Some good eps like:
Revisions
Fallout
Avenger 2.0
Resurrection
Space Race
Birthright
Enemy Mine
And to prove that a season can't be perfect, the I wish I could forget about eps: :p
Chimera
Fragile Balance
Inauguration
I went with Grace in my choice, only because I'm such a great Sam fan and it was a great Sam character episode. LC comes a very close 2nd. And the reason Heroes didn't made the competition was... How could they do that to Janet?!?!?!?!?!

Personally I'm a huge Sam fan, but I still didn't enjoy this season as much as others. True, she had many episodes, but while I loved her in them I didn't necesserly like those episodes, if that makes sense. For example I loved Sam in Space Race, I loved that I got to see another side of her, but I consider the episode as a whole to be really bad. Ditto on Avenger 2.0. And Chimera? while the Daniel part was really good and interesting I hate how Pete was written in this episode and how he tarnished the strong, independent Carter I loved (it's just my personal opinion and I realise it's not a popular one).
So really, for me it wasn't about a quantity of screentime for the characters (although I admit I really missed Jack in this season, and his absence was usually badly explained, that is when the writers bothered to explain it at all) but the quality of some of those episodes. When they were good, they were great, and when they were bad, they were really bad.
And is it just me, or was Daniel just as prominent in season 7 as Sam?
After re-reading my post I think it comes off very negative. :( So I'd like to state for the record that I like this season and "average" on SG-1 is still better than "good" on many other shows. :) I just like seasons 1-6 and 8 more. *shrugs*

I understand what you mean. I feel the same way. Yes, I still like season 7 and there are some really great eps in it (as with all the seasons). I just felt like there were some really bad eps, too. So I pretty much agree with you. The reason 7 is not my favorite season is because I feel it's not as good "overall" as some of the other seasons. Of course, I'm sure you and I would identify the "excellent," "average," and "terrible" episodes differently.
Oh, and on a side note... I realize that I already voted for "Homecoming" in this poll, but I've changed my mind. I should have voted for Resurrection. I know I'm in the minority, but I love that episode. I love the dark feeling to it, the moral dilemmas, the character moments, and the fact that all three characters had an important role in the story (I like it when everyone has something to do). In general, I just thought it was a pretty complex episode addressing some complex issues... and had a creepy villain. So yeah I'm probably the only one. But I still love it. I wish I'd thought of that before I voted.

The only viable choice is Lost City. It has everything you wqant in a stargate episode. Action, comedy and awesome special effects. It also gives us a little more insight into the Oneill-Carter relationship.

Don't forget drama and character moments. And team moments. :)

Well, no, there are lots of viable choices. 'Lost City' is just the one you found most viable. ;)

Me loves season 7. :) Daniel is back, so everything is just fine for me. :D There were some really great episodes, like Fallen, or Heroes, but The Lost City... is The Lost City. It is just amazing, every scene, every minute, the music, the effects, of course the story itself, just incredible. I remember when I first saw it, I literally felt that Anyubys is on his way to the Earth, to here, no kiding, I was so into that storyline, like a crazy person. :P So, yes, I voted for The Lost City.

I went for Space Race, which I really enjoyed. But looking down the list...season 7 was not one of my favourites, really...

Lost City is great, but I had to pick Heroes. The most mature ep SG-1 ever had - cracked me up for the whole first part, made me cry, touched me. (Not in a *bad* way, in my *heart*. :D)
I also quite liked Fragile Balance, actually. I thought the kid who played young Jack was just as good as having RDA. I may be in the minority, though. ;)

I had to pick Lost City because it was the first SG-1 episode I ever saw. It rocked.

I really like "Death Knell", something very creepy about that super soldier, and watching Sam trying to survive was great to watch.

And the reason Heroes didn't made the competition was... How could they do that to Janet?!?!?!?!?!
Seriously...

Heroes. Ye,s I know: Meridian, Heroes, Sunday... what can I do, I nmight hate them for murdering characters, but they know how to kill them off brilliantly!

Lost City, no contest. That was just an awesome episode. The scenes with the Ancient drones and the battle of Antarctica, plus it was just an amazing season finale. :D

I really wasn't a fan of S7 at all. I mean, Daniel was back and that could only be a good thing but the writing wasn't great and the episodes lacked their usual energy and ideas. I voted for Lost City because of all the episodes it was the only one I felt was like the SG-1 of old.
Lifeboat was pretty good as well and Death Knell was also pretty entertaining. Overall though, this has to be the weakest season of the entire series for me.

Unlike earlier seasons, where it was hard to pick a favorite because there were so many I liked, with this season it's hard to pick a favorite because I'm not particularly crazy about any of them. :S (Thus why I ended up putting off voting on this season until last.) I ended up picking Homecoming, though. The Lost City two-parter would have been my second choice I think, though I had a few issues with parts of it.

Same here. I kinda hate this season and I just don't get all the love it gets. It definitely took a while to get through on my first watch of it. :P
Orpheus, Lifeboat, Evolution, Heroes and Lost City save it from being completely "eh..." in my eyes.
Too much :sam: for me....
