I noticed in the upcoming episodes that Jack is in his standard blue..jumpsuit thing.
As the CO of the base, shouldn't he be in Formal Uniform, as was Hammond?

He should, but he's Jack. However, some special units within the military are allowed to wear special uniforms that they themselves develop. The blue overalls are something like the old white jumpsuits that USAF Missile Operations Crews used to wear in the old "Strategic Air Command" days. When I was on active duty with the 6595 Shuttle Test Group (mid-1980s) @ Vandenberg AFB, CA, we tried to get the same blue overalls approved, but without success. Hey it's a Sci-Fi show, so the producers can do whatever they want.

and Jack can do whatever he wants... with reason, so i don't think an informal uniform is someting wrong, well not wrong for Jack that is :)

My only concern would be with holding such a high position, he'd be in contact with personal from governments all the time, and meeting with them, he'd want to be as professional as possible :)

In all the pictures I have seen Jack is wearing his usual cloths, no white shirt, no tie, and no dress suit coat. In one picture he is wearing street cloths on base. I'm a little confused on the cloths bit too.

well i don't think Jack is the kind of guy who would wear a suit on a day to day basis but that doesn't mean he won't wear his military uniform. i would expect him to wear regular clothes or just the blue or even green fatigues he wore when with SG-1.
the only time he has been seen in his military uniform has been when it has been imporant or official airforce business (Fair Game, Wormhole X-treme (formal uniform), Smoke and Mirrors, when Jack tried to visit the President (can't remember the episode name), when Carter got promoted to Major and then at the end of New Order 2) so i would only expect him to wear his formal or full military uniform then

Maybe he will eventually. But right now, he's Jack, and frankly, as long as everyone on base knows he's the man, he can wear his usual BDU outfit.
Although, it would be nice to see him with the rank star once in a while.

Who's gonna yell at him?=)
I'm sure he'll change real quick if some important person is coming for a visit.

He will probably only wear more professional colothes when neccasary, like when he meets with foreign leaders. But on a normal, day-to-day basis, he will wear his usual jumpsuit. But what will hapen to the SG-1 patch? Will it be replaced with one that says SGC?

Hmm good question. We can always wait.... or try to find some spoiler gallery shots of future episodes that may or may not have said patch in them.

He is the MAN... So he could wear a yellow chicken suit and he'd still be the man. ;)
Kree feathered chickens, you have a new leader ! lol, that would be funny. :D

Love the chicken suit idea! :D
As to the question of why Brigadier General Jack O'Neill doesn't wear more formal uniforms while on duty:
"I'll be able to do whatever I want."
