The crew takes a job stealing an Alliance shipment from a train, risking their lives by doing business with a notorious man -- only to discover that the cargo is desperately-needed medical supplies.

Loved this episode, i love mals interrogation skills how he kicks him into the engine....and also when they first meet...that old guy (sorry, my knowledge just isn't up to scratch)

A good enjoyable action episode. Learn a little more about the characters, and what it is they are out to do.

I just watched this again on DVD last night and I have to say, the magic is still there. It's still funny, it's still amazing and it still makes me wish Fox weren't twats.

I did a music video using clips from the episode Train Job. I feel like I ended up settling for the song I picked, but I think the video still works. Have a lookie :-)

Me too! When my friends say Firefly must have sucked (they haven't actually seen it) just because it got canceled so quickly, they have to hear a lecture about how it's all Fox's fault. :)

It was simultaneously the best new show, the best western series in decade.They didn't have a single bad episode, and some were spectacular.Jayne was pretty & funny.......

Loved this episode. Being the 'second pilot' it went over some of the things Serenity 1&2 had already stated, but not overly so. There was a fun joking with Zoe and Mal, both on the train and back on the ship. Jayne showed us that even drugged, he can handle his weapons effectively, even if he wasn't quite where he was aiming...

Cool episode. I loved the interaction between the characters. Mal is great in command, and the "chain of command" quote made me laugh so much I had to pause the DVD. Good to know there are things Mal isn't willing to do for a job, although I suspect Niska's goons will be after him from now on.

Mal: "See, this is another sign of your tragic space dementia, all paranoid and crotchety. Breaks the heart."
