Karen Sisco wasn't everything actress Carla Gugino had hoped for. Viewers and critics liked it, but ABC cancelled the show after only seven episodes. Some people are saying that her new show, Threshold, might suffer a similar fate. Yet it got Gugino excited enough to return to series television, according to SciFi Wire.
Gugino is joining an impressive cast, which already includes Brent Spiner (Data in "Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Charles S. Dutton (Dillon in "Alien 3") and Peter Dinklage ("The Station Agent"). Given that the show is also driven by a creative team that includes David S. Goyer (writer of "Dark City," "Blade" and "Batman Begins"), Brannon Braga ("Star Trek: First Contact," "Mission Impossible 2") and David Heyman, (producer of the "Harry Potter" movies), it would seem to have great hit potential. Early screenings have received mixed reviews, though. Gugino is upbeat, nonetheless.
