    The American Film Institute has named John William's score for the 1977 Star Wars the No. 1 most memorable movie score of all times.

    A jury of over 500 film artists, composers, musicians, critics and historians put Star Wars at the top of The Big Picture-AFI's 100 Years of Film Scores list, revealed Friday night in Los Angeles, the AFI said in a news release.

    So I assume that the theme from Stargate the Movie isn't on the list. And beside the theme to Star Wars is very recognizable

          The list is mentioned in the text:

          Max Steiner's score for Gone With the Wind was No. 2, followed by Maurie Jarre's score for Lawrence of Arabia, Bernard Herrman's Psycho, Nino Rota's score for The Godfather and John Williams again for No. 6, Jaws.

          The Top 10 is filled out by David Raskin's score for Laura, The Magnificent Seven score by Elmer Bernstein, Jerry Gold Smith's score for Chinatown and High Noon by Dimitri Tiomkin.
