Who's looking forward to King Kong? I'm not really a fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, because I don't really like fantasy movies, but no one can deny that it had awesome production values. I'm looking forward to Peter Jacksons next movie King Kong. The cast is shaping up to be pretty cool, and I've never seen the original King Kong movie, so it should be pretty interesting.
The Sci-Fi Channel website has some casting news as well:
Are you looking forward to King Kong? :)

Isn't King King fantasy? Haha... I don't know, but anyways, i'm not a King Kong fan, but i'll probably wait for the DVD, haha...

Nah, I don't like stupid fantasy movies with elfs and stuff. :)
July 2nd, 2004, 04:36 PM
I think the sameway towards King Kong, haha...

I've never seen Kong, though. Apart from that Halloween episode of The Simpsons, I don't know what to expect. It looks decent though. :)

Monkey's are cool, as well. Much better then hobbits. :)
July 2nd, 2004, 05:06 PM
Difference is, hobbits, elfs, etc are pure fantasy, while King Kong is just an overgrown monkey who ends up loving a regular sized girl, haha...
July 2nd, 2004, 05:21 PM
That's disturbing... Don't blame the monkey, blame the chick. :)
July 2nd, 2004, 11:40 PM
Hahah... Yes, lets not blame the poor monkey :(

Didn't they steal it from his home island anyway?
July 3rd, 2004, 12:54 AM
Me don't know, haha, this movie reminds me of Godzilla, with the 'big' creature kind of thing, haha...
July 3rd, 2004, 01:00 AM
Monkey's are more likable then Lizards though. :)
July 3rd, 2004, 01:03 AM
At least lizards are more calm :D Haha...
July 3rd, 2004, 01:06 AM
I get pretty freaked out when I see lizards. It's screwed up, but there's something about them that I don't like. I monkey smashing a city would be a hell of a lot better then a lizard smashing a city. :)
July 3rd, 2004, 01:07 AM
I don't like any of those ideas, haha...
July 3rd, 2004, 01:09 AM
Monkey's are funny, though. You've gotta admit that it would be pretty funny to turn on CNN or something and see a monkey destroying your city. :)
July 3rd, 2004, 01:11 AM
That would be a little unsettling that a big monkey is destroying a city, haha... It may come where i live?! Haha...
July 3rd, 2004, 01:13 AM
If the monkey can swim to Australia, it's more then welcome to smash up my city. :)

It's filming in NZ as well. If they used a genetically altered monkey, it could potentially swim over. :) (Those dumbasses will probably want to use CGI though. ;))
July 3rd, 2004, 01:22 AM
Whats wrong with CGI?!
July 3rd, 2004, 01:24 AM
Heh, wouldn't you prefer a real life freak of nature monkey? :) Nah, there's nothing wrong with CGI. :)
July 3rd, 2004, 01:28 AM
I don't prefer they remake this movie at all ;) Haha... But yes, i would prefer they use a real monkey :)
July 8th, 2004, 09:19 PM
At least it'll have nice producton values. :)
July 8th, 2004, 09:46 PM
Such as?

Nicely animated monkeys? :)
