    SG-1 Spoilers Revealed

Robert C. Cooper, executive producer of SCI FI Channel's original
series Stargate SG-1, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming eighth
season will wrap up a few things. "To a certain extent I hope that
fans will feel that at the end of this season that a lot the threads
and storylines that ... they want to see resolved will be resolved,"
Cooper said in an interview on the show's Vancouver, B.C., set.

Among other things, the series will deal once and for all with the
Replicator threat, Cooper said."They become a force in our galaxy,
and then ultimately get into a ... big war with the Goa'uld," he
said. "And we kind of get caught in between the two and have to
decide who we want to side with and help."

Cooper added that the show will deal with the fallout of Daniel
Jackson's (Michael Shanks) ascendance and return to Earth. "Daniel's
going to come to a bit of a closure with the whole ascendance
storyline and what happened to him while he was ascended and his
relationship with Oma and his kind of personal battle with Anubis and
his feeling of responsibility for maybe not being able to complete
the process of eliminating Anubis." As for Anubis (David Palffy), who
appeared to have perished at the end of the seventh season, Cooper
teased, "I'll say that there are still issues out there." Baal (Cliff
Simon), another Goa'uld System Lord, will also return.

And SG-1 will deal further with the Jaffa rebellion, including
reprising the character of Ishta, played by Star Trek: Enterprise's
Jolene Blalock, who first appeared in the season-seven
    episode "Birthright."

In response to a question about whether the upcoming season will be
the show's last, Cooper said, "We also are not going to completely
end the show. We never wanted to end the show. Our intention was to
leave it open so that SG-1 was still out there on adventures and also
leave the door open for features or TV movies or direct-to-video
movies or whatever, that sort of thing, so that the franchise will
continue." Stargate SG-1 returns with a two-hour season premiere at 9
    p.m. ET/PT July 9.

Cool... I would like to see a war with the goa'uld and the Replicators.
    That would be so cool.
Teal'C: Bla Bla Bla... Said the whole transcript of the
where all of the Stargates were.

Like the idea of the war with the Gou'ld
and replicaters and us having to side with one
        or the other.
I think it would be a great idea if 5th and
replicater Sam would be te voice of reason
and the other replicaters try to shut them up,
then the goa'ulds take advantage of that.
Anyway interesting read and nice that they will
leave the door open for SG1 to continue on.

I wonder why they would go to war with such little interaction?? You would think they would try to make an allaince to destroy SG-1

Overconfidence... The replicators probably think that they don't need any help to destroy Earth. Just like the Goa'uld did before the events of Lost City, heck they may still think that they can destroy Earth on their own.

Why make an alliance with somebody who you want to destroy anyways?

ok... But why would they want to destroy them?? I mean, besides of the destruction of Apophises mothership, (Which some System Lords should be happy about because they hate him) Why would they just go ahead and destroy them? Overconfidence does make sense though.

Does this mean there will not be an S9? Or is he leaving the door open to an S9 and everything else. I was hoping RDA would announce something on Kilborn last night but nothing.
Causality should not be taken lightly.

Im thinking there might be no season nine. They might have a season 9 though. I think Stargate Atlantis will overtake it though.

Doesn't say anything about Furlings or Giant Aliens!!

They need to tie up those storylines!

They writers don't seem to be real keen about even talking about those story lines yet alone wanting to tie them up. Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading a story that the writers often make fun of Robert Cooper for the "Furlings" bit. He wrote The Fifth Race. It was just never a storyline they wanted to pursue. As for the Giant Aliens well that is just as forgotten as the Retu (sp?).

While I'm sure that most fans would like them to be revisited and in the case, of the Furlings, mentioned more than twice in the entire series. I just don't think the writers are willing to go back and tie them up when they can tie up bigger looseends.

Just don't get your hopes up, is all I'm saying! Maybe in Season 9 or 10 they will choose to revisit them!

IF there is a season 9 or 10... If I remember correctly, I think a new enemy is going to be apearing in Stargate Atlantis. This new enemy is going to be terrorizing the Atlanteans.

I think the idea of keeping the door open for SG-1 after the series ends is greta. It will be good think the team in whatever form it takes, will continue to have grand adventures.

I think a read somewhere that the furlings will not be seen in SG-1... maybe we will see them in Atlantis. Never the less it needs to be wrapped up one way or another.

Makes me wonder. Why take sides in a Goa'uld vs Rep rumble? Why not just leave both sides to beat the cack out of each other which on worst case scenario leaves Earth with two weak enemies which can be easily toasted?
