And the video game ISN'T going to be on Gamecube?

Or at least this is what I've heard (Read). I wish I could find a source to link to. (Anyone have one?).

So, is Nintendo kissing up to try to get them to make a version for the GC as well?

By the time the video game comes out the N5 and Xbox 2 will already be out, so it doesn't matter.

But Nintendo is doing more sponsoring so they show more ads so they can kick Sonys ass next round.

All I know about "Sponsorship", so far, is that Season 6 Eps on Sky1 had a neat little ad for the Yaeger game, between Acts, and before and after the Eps were shown. The voiceover just said "Stargate SG-1: Sponsored by X-Box".

I understood all that to mean that Sky, not the makers of SG-1,got the Sponsor money........

If the Show itself is getting Sponsorship, why not?

Sports and Music stars have been Sponsored for years! ;)

Sorry I forgot to tell where I saw this. It showed this going into the second commercial break on the episode they showed this afternoon on SciFi.

When I hear 'Nintendo' I still think of the old NES 8-bit system, with the original Super Mario Bros. and stuff... Suddenly I feel old.

The show needs to be sponsored because it cost an average of like 1.6 million an episode. All it is is like a commerical, it really means nothing. But maybe Nintendo of America likes the show...

We're talking about MGM here. $1.6 million dollars is like pocket change for them. They have been around for years now

Hey, they've had two sponsorships in the UK. First one was Yaeger and the other was Red Faction 2

It may have been by the same company, but it's two different games. For example, Microsoft might one moment sponsor a Xbox magazine and the next moment they'll sponsor a Windows magazine. As far as I know, it's classed under seperate categories despite it being the same company

There have been loads of people sponsoring SG-1 on Sky, does nobody remember those annoying robots back when Season 4 was airing? And they were sponsoring Star Trek too...

But that has nothing to do with SG-1, that has to do with Sky...

Err THX is a sound-company responsable for the new clearer surround-sound not a games developer/publisher.

Yager was made by made by MGS and published by Microsoft, Red Faction is an Activision game.

It probably only come up with THX before the show is because the channel you watch it on has optimised it for THX sound.

Is there actual confirmation of a Stargate game for any platform system? If so, is there a link to any info on it?

Yes it is, but they never said it was going to be for GC anyways. Oh well I will live with one game that's going to suck anyways. Plus if it's halfway decent that's why we have PCs.

GateWorld have a new news article on the homepage about this topic. Interesting to read. Looks a promising game

I have a GCN and a PS2, so no worries there it seems. :)

I just hope it isn't another "clone" game like Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force was. Just basically Quake III engine redone with a Voyager theme. Pretty unoriginal, glad I waited till it was in the bargain bin to get it.
